Bravo Bungie! Really!

Bungie, I think this is the best Destiny that we could have asked for. I thoroughly enjoy the game. First I'll say I am a huge Trials player. I've had my groans and complaints in Destiny 1. Not too much in Destiny 2. To me the game feels like a sequel but at the same time not. Let's say you really polished up Destiny 1 with Destiny 2. Which is still good. Been playing since Alpha and yea some of the things in Destiny 2 are the same as 1. I can be like "Yea this isn't anything really new. I've seen it before in Destiny 1." Overall though well done! I have heard complaints about this, that, and the other thing in Destiny 2. So far, of course, a lot of whining in the community about PvP. I used to really dissect Destiny 1 PvP. For 6 months prior to (Bungie) saying "We didn't make maps for trials. We just made the game mode." I had been telling people that a lot of maps are unbalanced and Bungie didn't really make the map for this game mode. I was not surprised in the least I was correct in that assumption. Saying that, there are a lot of complaints about the Mida being the "Meta". I used Mida in Destiny 1 for as long as I can remember. Before and after the countless balances. From close range maps like Anamoly and Asylum, to long range maps like Shores of time or Widows Court. (Trials based maps) I'd out gun handcannons with hip fire, side arms, shotguns. I made that gun my weapon and people who scoffed at it had a high chance to get rekt if you will (Not all the time mind you). Destiny 2 Mida I don't think is over powered. Let's take the first weekend of trials into account. That map is great and fantastic as a Trials map I hope to see more trials exclusive maps as balanced as that one in the future. Survival map, so far is another story. Sorry but not sorry Bungie. Kinda lame but for another topic. A lot of engagements in that map I was out of range of the Mida. It took me a few matches to say I'm losing with my Mida because I'm outta range and it comes to more luck vs other Mida users on who hits whom and did they get a headshot. I picked up a whole new gun and have clocked 280 Trials match wins in the past two weekends. No life I know lol. I started winning because I was out of their range (Most times). The high cal doesn't seem to bother me when I trade bullets with them, their radar doesn't bother me if I close in on them because, since I know their loadout, I know to assume they know I am getting closer to them and I prepare myself as best I can. I feel like I'm playing chess. That's how Destiny's "Competitve and especially Trials" Should be. It should be a battle of Wits as much as reaction times. I honestly think that a little bit of planning can go a long way with matches. In a lot of Destiny 2's PvP. I think there are a lot of players who have yet to realize that every gun type has it's range and that was the biggest let down I thought plagued Destiny 1. Pulses out gunning scouts and snipers from ranges that they shouldn't. Hand cannons I felt were always out of range in most gun fights. I didn't feel like there was range across the board at all that was balanced between all weapon types. My guess is, once again, the maps were not well thought out. With maps in Destiny 2 being so much more meatier, if you will, every gun type has it's options on every map. There are places for snipers, side arms, SMG, and all other gun type users to make their stand. Maybe on a map you take a route ideal for an SMG to take but not a pulse or scout and bam you run into someone who, at every angle in that vicinity, will be in the ideal range for their SMG vs your scout or pulse. That's not garbage that's brilliance on Bungies part. Intended or not time will tell lol. Being able to use 2 primaries though gives people the OPPORTUNITY to equip themselves for different types of engagements but it's on the player if they ignore it. Which they can. You can run double scouts and a sniper but you better be in places where you'll have the advantage. If not then that's a bad play on the player not on game Design. As arrogant as I may sound I wish you guys would always ask my opinion on things above all others in the community but I'll be content if you guys just read this post and "stick to your guns" and not let the children of the community, and hopefully anyone outside of the bungie team (bosses, backers and what not) to stay out of your way and trust in a team that can bring greatness and has proven to do so time and time again even to this day! Thanks to any who read and I hope my words were conveyed in an understandable way!

  • I almost forgot. The power ammo. I have been hearing people complain about that as well. I think it's in a good spot as well. Teams can play around the power ammo or ignore it. If playing around it and you succeed then reward one of your members with power ammo. The game says who and what type is picked up. Again like chess you can try to prepare yourselves for it. Not broken or unbalanced. Just another piece on the board!
