We don't need variable rolls we need interesting, unique, weapons with good perks.
I'd rather they spend a few months on a gear overhaul/addition update than give us variable rolls on boring weapons.

Sure that would be great. But nobody has faith in bungie anymore and we all feel asking for more than "go back to when it was better" is asking too much from incompetents.

Sad but true. I really wish they'd just do something different. I wish they'd think outside of this box they put themselves in.

I agree, I love destiny 1-2 more than any other I've ever played...I also hate destiny1-2 more than any other games I've ever played. It's a strange thing for me.

Yeah perks are nice but the weapon being more focused on a certain play style is better. I never really cared about the weapon I had equipped further than range it was made for. Now at least I kinda pay attention to it, and that's saying something. They just need to add more mod slots or something that let you do PvE specific things to further define them.

I've said it once and I'll say it again raid gear, at least raid gear from hard mode, should have good PvE perks on it. "Increased damage to X enemy faction" "Increased reload and fire rate if more than one player has X armor set equipped" "Random elemental effect added to your weapon for 5 seconds after a precision kill" "Bullets infect the enemy who in turn infects those near him with a DoT effect. This effect stacks up to x3" "Each player wearing X armor decreases the fireteams super and ability cooldown by 5% up to 15%" That's the kind of stuff I'd like to see. Not only are they useful perks but they also have a teamwork aspect to them. These are just five things off the top of my head, think of what a creative professional could come up with if they'd just try... a little *I'm looking at you Bungie*.

Particularly ones that deal with "the darkness" are ones I would like to see make a return. They already had increased damage, and they also had orb chances on elements and whatnot. Haven't seen them since, and it is a shame. It was more RPG providing variety where mission design wasn't.

Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 9/27/2017 7:11:45 AMGood idea, but instead of having those as perks the raid armor should have a PvE mod slot that you can equip with mods earned in the raid that are PvE focused. Such as: Health degenerates slower when holding orb (gauntlet). Deal bonus damage to specific cabal enemy type. Receive bonus spores when standing near an activated flower (gardens). Receive one additional revive token (cooldown 30 minutes). These perks would naturally aid people hosting guided games as well.

I like the mod slot idea but those perks would be totally useless outside of the raid, which wouldn't feel like much of a reward. "Congratulations now you'll have an easier time beating this activity you already conquered and have most of the gear for" lol. On the other hand if the normal version of the raid dropped that sort of thing, to prepare you for hard mode, and the hard version dropped stuff useful in any PvE activity (like I mentioned) then we might be onto something. High five?
