Right... we totally don't have dominate weapons we see in the crucible all the time (Uriel's Curse)... and weapons that now can never compete due to bad perks (most pulse rifles). Sorry, but half of my heavy weapons seem to have quickdraw on it... that's not unique, that's stupid. I don't need to pull my gun out faster in PvP or PvE. It's a wasted slot. And if you're going to be accurate, it's god rolled FRoF pulses, not just grasp. You're narrowing the view intentionally. Also, your 'user choice is still there' comment I saw is BS. No, we had user choice in D1 and that's what you're trying to dissuade us from with D2. In fact, we had so much user choice, we could hand make our guns to the point of what we wanted to use them for in each specific activity. So don't go around saying 'user choice' yet limit all our choices with one static roll. It's a 1/4 of what we had back then. They remove choice so you can't have the optimal tool for the job. Solution, make more guns. Even with similar rolls, make more guns that can't roll certain combos of perks (Hmm... like they did before) and others that can't roll others and call it a day. The ability to tailor certain guns specifically has always been there, they simply refused to do it with anything but exotics. Just like they have and still have had the ability in D1 to change PvE and PvP separately (famous HoW PvE vs. PvP shotgun buff example, 300% PvE, like... 60% PvP, if I remember right) and it's the same with guns. The idea that things have 'miraculously changed' with static rolls is simply false. It's always been there, they just refuse to do it. Now, it's how they pushed static rolls... with the promise of 'singular tailoring', something that's already been around. You also say MIDA needs a nerf. Specifically, a HCR nerf. How is this any differnet than D1? You're literally calling for what's already happened before. Nothing has changed, nerfs will still nerf exotics, and legendary weapons still will always have 'top tier weapons' that you can't avoid. You just don't want the weapon to have the same couple of names... that's the only improvement with static rolls. The rest is completely the same. By the way, MIDA is grossly overrated and the only reason it's overpopulated is because you can get it within an hour after you beat the main game, guaranteed. With the amount of videos showing you how... it's easy to see how people literally get it as fast as possible. I've done completely fine in Trials 1v1s (granted, when they actually happen) with a number of other guns. Rush a MIDA and a close range gun will win. Duel with a scout and once you learn the recoil and know how to strafe, you will win. The gun really isn't that awesome, it's just familiar and easy to use. To call for a nerf is already to repeat D1 with even less merit than you had before. If all of these static guns were tailored so well, as you claim, then they should be able to compete with exotics rather than mess with a perk (which, I thought they were avoiding, you know, with static rolls). At the very least, they would merely need to buff some stability stats by 5 points on a choice few scouts that actually don't do well and you'd be fine, or, lessen MIDA stability by 5 points to compensate. Yet, you go after the perk? Why? That's counter intuitive to the reason we have static rolls in the first place, so that perks aren't the issue, just the gun itself.
