Destiny 2 audio - including background music, dialog from the NPCs, and sometimes even sound effects - continually cuts in and out intermittently. Music will go quiet for a span of a few seconds up to a minute or two and then come back as if it had been playing all along, but muted.
NPCs on the radio and in person (game dialog) will be interrupted by periods of silence, and then talk over themselves with two separate audio clips playing at the same time. They also talk over each other at times, when there's meant to be an exchange between two or more characters. The audio tracks that make up the dialog aren't being queued at the right time, or are taking too long to play.
-- I've done a hard shutdown and restart on the Xbox One S, but that didn't help.
-- I've uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it, and that didn't help.
-- I've checked to make sure the game is installed on the Xbox One S's internal HDD (not my external USB drive); it's only on the internal drive, so the problem isn't with USB bandwidth limitations.
This is a very frustrating problem, really wrecking my enjoyment of some of the content, and I can't seem to find any other reports of the issue.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks.

Having the same issue, I wonder if it’s also the hard drive. I’m also having problems where I can’t start other games, I get an error message that says it took too long to start

Did you ever get the problem fixed? I'm having the same issue.
