Borderlands 2 is the best. I do have to say the first game is worth going back to though due to it's different identity. It leaned more towards being a western and the humor was much more dry and wasn't as full of memes and pop culture references. Now I actually will say I think 2 has more personality and was a better direction to take for the franchise to take in the end. And I don't think the game has lost its roots or anything. But it is neat going back to the first game to see the differences.
