Not needed, love the new system without synth. Switch between guns and you won't have an issue. I ran out of ammo for one gun once during the entire raid. It forced a bit of improvisation and thinking on my feet but didn't put me in a place that cost me a fight. Can people really not handle a bit of adversity/things not going perfectly to scripts. I love the occasional wrench in the plan once in a while.

You could just you Know not buy them. No one is making you use them.

I never said I hated them or wouldn't use them. My point is they're not even necessary given the current ammo drop rates. They create another arbitrary currency like item so to speak that is totally unnecessary and clogs the inventory. The tweaked and updated ammo drops keeps players in the action and out of their menus while doing the raid. It's an overall better/more seamless player experience because of this. Bungie iterated on their product and cut out an unneeded micro economy that was ammo synth.

Yeah but when I was doing the Pleasure Garden I (I unload everything into a hound) ran out of H'ammo then we wiped. After that for several wipes none of the Handlers dropped heavy for me and a friend I'm like wtf? Then a friend said "Yeah use your heavy to get Heavy" how tf am I supposed to use heavy if I don't have any heavy to use, so I thought I'll equip and let my friends kill the handlers in the beginning.. dropped ONE box for me.. After that round heavies dropped from the handlers like crazy again. Having like no heavy or small amount of heavy for like 5 rounds when it's needed was frustating, I really wished I had synth at that time.
Didn't use Heavy till dogs DPS phase
I can definitely understand your frustration on that one but it sounds like a bug or a glitch to me. Handlers should be dropping heavy regardless of what you kill them with, which is what we experienced on the raid. That needs to be fixed and looked at. My reasoning for not wanting heavy synth is in destiny 1 it often felt like something that people would use just to break through a wall or a barrier with brute force versus actually strategizing the encounter

I fully agree Bro. It forces you to use "tactics". A bit of difficulty makes Destiny more challenging and not so stale when engaging combatants.

I think you meant to say "diversity" regardless, agreed!

This!

I tend to agree - I'm good without synths.
