There's a few parts in the raid where it becomes a feedback loop, where you really need some heavy to polish off the tougher add, but need to kill that add to get heavy ammo; makes even ammo runs a bit of a chore, though at least now ammo drops for anyone that did damage, not just the person who got the killing blow. This is especially true if you don't have the right guns yet and at a decent light level.

Yeah, ran into it a little with baths, and badly in gauntlet. There's a dearth of yellow bars to get heavy from, and once the tough ones are up mechanics are happening, so even trying for farm runs can be a pain if you don't get people concentrating fire on one at a time. Gauntlet is definitely challenging, with a lot of stuff going on at once, timers, and the requirement to have two separate pairs timing their shots (PC has an edge here, since mumble would allow whispers to be set up, so you wouldn't hear the other team's call or vice versa). Still a ton of fun, but without solid main weapons, heavy becomes very important.
