Seriously, WTF is this BS that we can't buy ammo synths to take into battle? The game is NOT in any way dropping enough ammo in the Raid!!!
There is no reason whatsoever to not let us stock up on whatever ammo we think we need and have it at our disposal! The timer keeps it in check.
BRING BACK AMMO SYNTHS!!!
EDIT: For those referring to power ammo, no where in my post did I say power. This is about ALL ammo synths. In the raids primary and secondary are also slim to none. Here's the thing, ammo synths only apply to PVE which means it makes absolutely NO difference to the players who are saying it isn't needed. How about we put them back in the game and those who don't want them can simply don't buy them.
EDIT #2: Bungie please note the overwhelming support of this and take it into consideration... sooner rather than later please.

Fr tho, hate relying on yellow bars That don't even spawn often when you really need them

I wasn't goign to comment, but some of thees trash posts, my gosh. I main the Sturm right now, can't find a more preferable exotic, and i am a good...i'd say roughly 75%+ crit shotter. Guess what happens? i run outta kinetic ammo A LOT. It wont' drop, i use grenades, melee like crazy, i rarley swap to my secondary, but when i'm outta ammo, i swap. yeah i know using the drang is suppose to fill it, but that thing sucks, and it eats through ammo like i'm using the exotic minigun. I'd love to see ammo synths but honestly, i'd prefer a ghost that makes enemies just flat out drop more ammo. I prefer my hand cannon primary, i shouldn't be penelized in every strike/nightfall/raid/mission/exploration i do by them keeping ammo from dropping.

Edited by Cmoney: 9/19/2017 12:54:22 PMAs long as you're not just shooting one weapon then the ammo drops are rather generous. If you stick to one weapon you are essentially penalized.

Please no.

Heavy drops a lot but once in awhile I could use it. Yeah it would be nice but it isn't a big deal.

For what it's worth, I am really enjoying not having the meta be get a Galli, buy ammo synth, Galli everything in PvE. My raid team, going in blind 'cause why else do a raid, was able to clear the raid with out synth. Sure, there was a time or two we would have loved to synth power, primary, or seconday, however, we found the lack of synth actually made us focus on playing the activity thoughtfully. It has been my experience, based on hundreds of raids through three years of Destiny, that ammo synth is often used to mask lower skill or lack of patience. I also appreciate not having that one person always saying after a quick wipe, "Uh...I need 4:25 until I can go again...gotta synth." My personal opinion is that the designers gave us everything we need to overcome the challenges they placed in our paths...for what it's worth...

synths made D1 work. They were removed since ammo pretty much drops all the time. Ive watched videos of people playing the raid and ammo of all types dropped like crazy. D2 does not need synths. move on from D1 shit.

Edited by EARWAK3R: 9/19/2017 6:15:34 AMThe raid drops plenty of ammo. If you're running out of ammo, it means your movement is all wrong in fight encounters. If your properly cycling weapons and popping shields and priorotising different targets at different times you shouldnt ever have a problem. Like final boss fight, mele dogs as you run around to refill your kinetic, pop higher ranks for energy, then majors for your heavy. You see guys using their energy weapon for everything, popping shields then carrying on spraying and running low. Then the next major arrives and you cant break its shield. Its sensless. You element a shield off, then spray them down with your kinetic. You team shot majors to save even more ammo. Theres tons of ways to deal with ammo management, you just have to play smarter

Game drops so much ammo I use whatever weapon I want freely. Kinetic can be sparse on occasion, but after a few kills with energy or power then a kinetic drops pretty quick

No, it encouraged cheesing strikes and raids.
-
Hell no
-
Not needed man so many good heavy ammo drops imo
The game is NOT in any way dropping enough ammo in the Raid!!!
Yeah, or anything else for that matter...

The game is a disaster

Edited by zxionisus: 9/18/2017 11:51:34 PMI like it better without ammo synths - between glimmer, shards, strange coins, synths, radiant materials, ascendant materials, hadronic essence, plasteel plating, saphire wire, weapons parts, crux's, orbs, cores, etheric light, etc., the system put in place during D1 for consumption, upgrade, conversion, barter and purchase needed to be simplified and streamlined in my opinion. In fact, it should be simplified even more. Ammo synths are not the problem, lack of ammo in the raid is. Therefore, instead of bringing back synths, just increase the drop rate.

Make a Titan and Get ruin wings ya scrub
💩
Edited by CatMan: 9/18/2017 9:33:21 PMTo your edit, people are dumb asses. You write a post either player get triggered by the past (mostly those scrubs that cried about mida, special ammo, shot guns, That one artifact that helped a lot in pve, Icebreaker, etc), they are fanboys talking for bungie, or just trolling. Most of us agree with you. This weapons system and the ammo drops suck imo.
-
Not needed, love the new system without synth. Switch between guns and you won't have an issue. I ran out of ammo for one gun once during the entire raid. It forced a bit of improvisation and thinking on my feet but didn't put me in a place that cost me a fight. Can people really not handle a bit of adversity/things not going perfectly to scripts. I love the occasional wrench in the plan once in a while.

Even just to use my always capped glimmer which seems useless now
-
100% Agree I miss popping my Heavy (power) synths when needed in the raid or harder end game content like nightfall.
-
I always have enough ammo. If you don't have enough, you're using too much and not killing enough.
-
I agree! Bring them all back. Let us be able to stock up thousands to go on exciting new adventures
-
Bump. This

This.

I miss them.
