1. Exotic Armor and Weapon Kiosks. These saved your Exotics so you could have more space in your vault and inventory.
2. Ship Kiosk. These saved your ships so you would have more space in your vault and inventory.
3. Sparrow Kiosk. Same as the two above.
4. Shader Kiosk (Does the same thing as the other Kiosks) and the ability to use a shader infinite times.
5. Timers next to buffs on the screen to help you know how much time you have left for that buff. Increased movement speed for example.
6. Being able to choose specific Strikes to play.
7. Being able to choose specific Crucible Modes to play.
8. Being able to choose specific Story Missions to play.
9. Being able to choose the difficulty on Strike Playlists.
10. Being able to choose the difficulty on Story Missions.
11. Strike Specific Loot. For those who are new there was gear and weapons specific to certain Strikes.
12. Raid Checkpoints, REAL checkpoints that save your progress.
13. 3 free Treasures of the Dawning (Destiny 1's Bright Engrams) obtainable through doing Weekly Milestones.
14. Ranks for Factions, so if you ranked up with the Vanguard or Crucible for example it would show how many times you ranked up.
15. Ammo Synthesis. These were consumables that came in Primary, Special, and Heavy. What they would do is that they would refill a persons ammo for that specific weapon and then go on a cool down for 5 minutes. They were invaluable in a Raid and almost a necessity.
16. Customized Subclass Perks. Subclass perks weren't locked into groups of four, there were columns of perks and you just picked the ones you wanted.
17. Factions would sell weapons. You could pick the one you wanted and buy it. Why can't we do that now? Why did they do that?
18. Random Weapon Perks. This is why they did that. Weapon Perks used to be random Perks. You could get a tryhard godly Perk Roll, a trashy bad Perk Roll, or a Perk Roll that was just ridiculously fun. I have a rocket launcher in Destiny 1 that can have a random number of rockets in its tube. Sometimes I get 2 or 3, other times I get 4. This made chasing fun rolls FUN. Now there are perks that are locked on a weapon, no variety. So, why let you buy all the weapons when you can play the RNG slot machine?
You can have Fairness, or Freedom. Your customization has been destroyed compared to the last game, for the sake of "balance" in PVP. Its not fun. Not even close. People just run around in groups and team shot everyone. I couldn't care less. But it affected the PvE. Now, guns are mediocre and Subclasses are boring (In my opinion you are free to disagree.) Oh yeah, quick PSA, the Bright Engrams? Ya know how you get free ones every level up after 20? Every level up it increases the XP needed to get another Bright Engram, and it doesn't stop. Eventually it will take days to get a single Bright Engram. You got 3 for free each week in Destiny 1. Just think about that.
