Alright everyone, take a seat and listen to me for a sec, OK? OK. So the Warlock class I personally believe has not been given the attention it deserves. Most people lean over to the Hunter class because let's admit, we like looking good in capes. However, in Destiny 1 most players didn't pay Warlocks that much attention in PvE modes (A bit more in crucible although due to melee ranges, Flame Shield and Stormtrance) since they didn't do much compared to Titans Ward of Dawn with either blessing or weapons of light or the Hunters Tether.
Rest assured though, although us Warlocks have lost our ability to self resurrect, our new abilities make up for it.
Warlocks new "Rift" ability (arguably the best class ability) has now replaced the Titans Ward of Dawn abilities.
So you're thinking "it's just a class ability" right?
Now this is where things get a bit shaky but bear with me here.
Warlocks have gotten new huge updates to our subclasses such as the Arc Soul or Feed the Void that make the Warlock play style a lot more aggressive and fun to play. Meanwhile this doesn't just apply to PvE modes because Warlocks are really good in Crucible too due to their abilities (don't even get me started on their supers).
To wrap things up I suggest a lot more of you try out Destiny 2's Warlock because it's a lot better in comparison to Destiny 1.
I'm not saying Warlocks are the best class or anything like that, what I'm trying to say is that Warlocks should be appreciated a bit more and some of you should really try out the Warlock because it's REALLY fun. Feel free to leave your thoughts below.

Love the robes Love the Supers Love the abilities Can't stand Glide

Looked at my Memories and saw that almost every activity was exclusively Titans and Warlocks with maybe 3 hunters between all activities so Idk man

Been a Warlock since day one of destiny 1 and have loved every minute of it. Destiny 2 Warlocks are good but Destiny one Voidwalker after the buff and Sunsinger before the nerf was a lot better, and Stormcaller is the same but with an arc soul.

I started out as a Warlock in the first game and really enjoyed it. Then I moved over to my Hunter. I've really been enjoying the Hunter class and that became my main through the DLC's of the first game. I started out my Hunter in Destiny 2 but am missing my Warlock. I'll definitely be getting my Warlock up and running next. I'll probably be completely ignoring my Titan this time around. I did end up getting myself a Warlock Lego guy when the sets came out. He looks good on my nerd shelf.

What the hell are you talking about? All I see is warlocks in crucibles and in strikes! Everyone is using warlocks. Rift spams on crucible are hell on earth, even more now since crucible is all about team shooting. Who wins the game depends on who uses the rift the best to be honest. They are also a most in pve, class abilities from hunter are way too underwhelming to be even mentioned in the same sentence as the drift and titan walls can't hold a candle to the drift either.

My main in D1 was warlock secondary Titan. In D2 having a lot of fun with my Titan. But yes I agree with a lot of what you're saying. Also, sometime I feel like warlocks fit a 'canon' character. In rise of iron Shiro and Ghosts dialogue about splicers and warlocks, where Shiro sounds kind of embarrassed about agreeing with ghosts about 'mad warlocks.' Not much, but felt like he didn't want to offend you as I happened to be a warlock at the time. Minute and open to interpretation of course. Ikora mentions in both games during the stormcaller stuff that she has nothing else to teach you. Asher Mir totally rips on zavala and Titans - that made my Titan really want to punch his face with a flaming fist. To add insult, my ghost didn't even acknowledge my being a Titan. In the EDZ where you ask devrim about a symbol on the wall he mentions that it's a symbol city hunters use to mark out special locations. If I was playing a hunter at the time I'd think hey...I'm a city hunter ...how come I don't know??? I'm also loving the class specific dialogue in the crucible. Heh not much, but figured I'd share these bits of thoughts with you all.

ive been a warlock since the alpha of destiny 1. i agree with what you are saying.

I prefer a class that takes the most time to learn.

Yeah so warlocks are really op actually. Void walkers with attunement of hunger are unkillable and let you solo strikes. Stormcaller can spam rifts. And if you run coldheart with lunarification boots, you melt bosses in like 10 secs in your arc soul rift.

You would be a perfect fit for my clan: The Coven of Ashes. It's a clan for people who prefer to play warlock. We are just starting out but I love to see people with the same magic madness as me.
