So, the man with the broken mask, the liar himself; The Speaker.
Dead or not?
I thought the machine Ghaul was keeping him suspended with was keeping him alive and that Ghauls master killed him when he unplugged him from The Matrix.
My mate says he'll still be alive?

I'm fairly certain he's dead, as there's a scannable...
In the new Tower/Traveler Social Space
...that talks about the Speaker being gone and finding a new one; it's even made clear he wasn't the first and probably won't be the last. If anything, I think someone will come take his place - perhaps this will happen during/at the end of the first expansion, Curse of Osiris. From what I understand (which please correct me if I'm wrong, I was a little late to the lore side of things) it's going to be about Osiris and I know he disagreed with the Speaker/Vanguard and was exiled/exiled himself. It's possible his beliefs/the reason for his disagreement now line up with what is happening with the traveler and state of humanity.

Definitely not dead. Plot is way too predictable.

I think he be dead but with the Traveller having re-awoken, who knows what'll happen with him next?

Speaker, Eris, and the Queen will all come back at some point. I think Eris and the queen will come back together then the speaker will come back in the same form of light that ghaul was after we killed him. So the speaker is technically dead but he will come back in the form of light

Edited by michaeljacksen: 9/13/2017 3:26:01 PMIf you want to see where the Speaker went . . . There is a way . . .
"Feel free to kill yourself. . ."
I think he's dead, but I have found new armor with comments from him, so I don't know if that means anything or not. Probably not.

i believe he's dead. That machine looked like it was meant for torture, not sustanence. And yes Ghaul's "master" probably killed the speaker since he had no light.

Ghost says he is dead, dear. Check near Ikora there is a scannable that says so
