And holy cow t#ts. It's scary.

Best guess is that it's related to the hive. As far as I'm aware, no creature can survive in methane oceans in our solar system.
Plus it's super similar to the hive worms on the Dreadnaught.
Regardless, I shit myself when I saw it...

You all are wrong, Titan is actually Fundament, The hive homeworld. The creature you saw is the Levaithan, the oldest creature alive. My information is from the Books of Sorrow. One of the three Osmium sisters put the Leviathan in a glass containment as a result for making the sisters choose death over immortality.
-
If you look at the spines on the worm, and the spines on the creature you can see from the surface, they are two different creatures. There is grimoire to suggest that there are leviathans in the methane oceans of titan, and the hydrocarbon pits of europa (like, the books of sorrow leviathans. from the fundament. that existed to stop any race from making a pack with the darkness). I think the creature you see from the surface is one of these. I found an interesting theory about the other that I think is plausible. The one you see underwater is Oryx's worm. Think about it, Oryx is one of the original 3 of the hive as we know them. It would make sense that his worm is so massive, because he has done so much to feed it, including annihilating the ecumene and the taishibethi, as well as killing one of his gods, akka.

Its not that big

Xylar?

I never saw that wow

Titan is my absolute favorite location in the game. The atmosphere is straight out of the alien films, reminds me of Hadley's Hope, the colony from the second film. The areas on the rig that were barricaded makes me imagine that the people living there had to make a last stand against the Hive during the collapse. The flickering lights and cramped claustrophobic rooms, the sacks of orange goo held in place by secreted resin. Creepy. Of course, the Hive are my favorite enemy race in the game so I'm a little biased but still. Titan is awesome and I love it. Also, read the quotes on the armor that Sloane can give you, it tells a little bit about what happened on Titan. I just wish I could buy the armor, I'm having a difficult time getting the armor to drop from her rewards.

Water temple is the next raid
-
Could be one of the large creatures they use to dig their tunnels that has no tunnels to dig on titan
-
BBC??
-
But this isn't the same thing as the creature swimming in the ocean from the looks of it. There's two giant creatures then? The thing I saw swimming right outside behind Sloane was long and slender with jagged spinal fin.
-
This is somewhat off-topic, but if the oceans of Titan are methane that place must smell REEEEAAALLY bad.
-
Played that mission like 7-10 times and never noticed that thing.
-
I'm currently out of town and the internet is carp, so I can't watch the video, but are we talking about the same thing that swims past when you go to collect the golden age CPU on the titan mission?
-
Maybe it's not a worm God or anything like that. Maybe it's another creature native to that planet, like the ahmkarha
-
As long as you do not mistake it for one of my kind, I speak my mind on. It may simply be just a native life of Titan in this solar system that the Traveler vitalized with its light. O' Executioner Mine
-
I never noticed that...but now I'll never NOT notice it.
-
Whoa, I didn't even see that when I did that mission 😱
-
Maybe it's a Punga. The seas of titan are named after mythological seamonsters.
-
Maybe oryxs worm???
-
I call it Jerry the hive tunnel worm
-
or related somehow to 5th race?

Edited by Yarbey: 9/13/2017 9:53:58 PMBut can you tell me who ana bray is? I want to know why there's that weird room with no door
-
That is a pointless video! That doesnt show a samn thing lmao!
-
Edited by H2Osnap: 9/14/2017 9:08:22 AMSo people can stop trying to compare this to the original sea creature that was discovered breaching the surface, here is a closer look at that one. You can immediately note that it does not physically resemble what is seen in OP's video in any way. And to put the "spinning spike rings" nonsense to rest, those are placeholder models that we weren't meant to be able to see that are supposed to give the illusion of the creature "swimming" and breaching the surface. That's it. Bare minimum, there are at least 2 large creatures drifting through the ocean.
-
Very interesting!! It does have a similar resemblance to the worms on the Dreadnought -you know, except its a hundred and fifty yards long. I wonder if its related to the Hive's presence? Perhaps Oryx's brood here in Sol are being starved? Too many losses to the Guardians to keep their worms from devouring them, and emerging into the universe beyond Fundament ---Just as the Hive's worm Gods had always intended.
-
It might be the worm god that resided in oryx with Titan being a moon of Saturn it's quite possible that oryx somehow crashed into titans vast ocean and the worm god drew the hive to Titan. Just a guess though i could be completely off.
