Let’s talk about Skriviks, the Sharp-Eyed. One of the secret and forgotten bridges between Destiny 1 and Destiny 2, and one of the 3 Eliksni that survived Destiny 1.
In Destiny 1 House of Wolves we faced the expansion’s namesake: the Fallen House of Wolves. Working alongside the Awoken and Variks we enacted the Queen’s Wrath (the eradication of the House of Wolves and its leadership under the combined effort of the Reef and the Guardians).
One member of the Wolves leadership was Skriviks, the Sharp-Eyed.
Skriviks is an oddly special character. She got almost no lore at all and did nothing. In Destiny 1 she was only mentioned once in a grimoire and made no other appearance except for other brief mentions in a couple bounties. Skriviks served under Skolas as one of his Lieutenants in the Reef Wars, and was captured with Skolas at the end of the war. They were put into the Prison of Elders, which was the last we heard of Skriviks. After the Wolves revolted we killed all other members of the Wolf leadership, but Skriviks never made any appearance and was never mentioned again. She faded into obscurity, completely forgotten.
But then, two and a half years later, Destiny 2 launched.
Near the very beginning of the campaign we came to the Spark mission, where we encountered the House of Dusk for the first time. At this point none of us knew what House Dusk was or where they’d suddenly appeared from. They were a total mystery, and we didn’t know they were the result of all previous Houses uniting.
And at the end of the mission the final boss spawned, bearing a name that only the most obsessed House of Wolves lore nerds had a chance of remembering:
Skriviks, the Sharp-Eyed
Naturally I immediately flipped my lid when she spawned. Really, I did. I was so surprised and in awe of seeing this long lost character, and so confused about what she was doing in the mysterious House of Dusk.
But she was quickly killed in the mission. No mention of her, no important attention, just her name. An immediately forgettable boss that any player would have dismissed. It wasn’t until later that we learned Dusk was formed by members of all Houses. And Skriviks had been our first hint. A Wolf within the newly-formed House.
Despite the fact that Skriviks never actually did anything in either game, she has become a surprisingly respectable Fallen character in the games (even if no one was aware of it).
Skriviks was the only known Fallen to escape the Prison of Elders in Destiny 1 without getting killed later in Destiny 1, and the only known member of the House of Wolves' leadership that survived the Queen's Wrath. And to top it all off, she was one of the only three named and living Fallen known to us (the gamers) in the ENTIRE SPECIES until Destiny 2 was released. The other two were Variks and Eramis. All other Fallen we’d heard of in Destiny 1 were dead.
That's all. I thought some of you may have been as interested in this as I was, considering Skriviks’s role and how she linked Destiny 2 with Destiny 1. A historically important member of the House of Wolves being an enemy in this game was really cool to see, and as a member of House Dusk.

Myelin games made a great video about the current state of the fallen. I'm jumping on the "prince uldren United the fallen houses and we'll by allying with them later". The house of kings kell and Prince uldren had an encounter, and that's the last we ever heard of either of them. It's possible uldren killed the kell and became the new kell, and United all the houses. Theres a card about every house burning their banners, and a scannable object on titan that says "skolas attempted to unite the fallen houses but didn't succeed. Who knew that sheer desperation would succeed where he failed", as well as one on the edz that says the fallen tech has awoken/reef encryption on it. Also, purple is the color of royalty/the reef, so really all makes sense to me.

I noticed it right away. There's plenty of other Easter eggs and references from D1. Khvostov (EDZ, Sojourner's Camp) make your way to the camp, next to the tent there is a ledge with a crate. The Khvostov is propped up against the box Ghallarhorn (reference) Cayde mentions it in the mission where you get to drive the tank through the Cabal base Exo Stranger (reference, Cayde) the mission we rescue Cayde from the spatial loop, he says "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain" Exo Stranger (reference again, Ghost) the mission we get the Mida mini tool, ghost says "what is with these mysterious, hooded, anti-authority figures calling me little?" When we first visit the shard in the EDZ, Ghost says the same thing when we were first reborn "eyes up, guardian" Every time we visit the Shard to unlock new subclasses, all of the stories are read exactly from the grimoire cards When we defeat the Taken boss on Io, it was a child of Savathun (Oryx's sister, mentioned in the book of sorrows) I'm sure there are more I haven't found yet

Some of the smaller details are what counts. Also anyone else wondering what happened to Variks? We don't go to the reef so I'd assume he's there, but the Cabal would most likely have attacked the Reef if they caught sight of people on it.

If this adds anything I would like to point out that this new house is the house of dusk. I discovered this when I fought an ultra captain with the title dusk captain.

Thanks for the info. That was one tough servitor for me to kill. I somehow managed to chase him into a public event full of servitors. There was a screen full of servitors shooting at me and a poor level 8 on a pike. We failed the public event of course but the lv8 ran with me the whole time shooting that fat bastard in the face until we finally got him. Needless to say I'm glad that's over.

Kewl! I wondered if that fallen in particular had significance, but I didn't realize that he was from the House of Wolves! It makes sense that he would be in the leadership, since the House of Dusk is a melding of all of the houses. Plus, I think that the Kings now ruling every fallen house is confirmed, as well as the fact that this new fallen house is the merging of ALL remaining fallen houses. A scan of one of the many fallen beacons reads something like: "Another beacon. The signal is strong, it seems like the fallen are trying to bring everyone together." And also the scan that someone already talked about here, the one where Ghost mentions that all of the beacons have the markings of the House of Kings.

What are you talking about? I am alive as a fish on land

Fox and Kseth jumped me today and told me to get on the fourms. I can't use my Thorn because it's nerfed.

You. You're a good player. You enjoying putting together every last piece of the puzzle just like me. I like you. You good.
-
I truly appreciate people who pay this much attention to the minor details in Destiny. These are things most people would play by without ever noticing. Thank you for helping deliver more of the story for Bungie.

I missed that! Gonna have to check when I make a hunter! Thank You!

That's so awesome

As a lore buff (to a low degree mind you but I still love it) we need people like you lol

Nice one! True fans find cool little links in the lore.

thanks for pointing that out!

This is excellent

Good eye! I didn't catch that. Seeing this level of continuity is one of the reasons I love this game

This is real lore guys

Well, I guess I'll just comment on my own post to make it seem like someone's interested in it....

I thought that name was familiar! Thank you for this. Since that Fallen was last seen in the PoE, it does seem plausible that he now serves aileron. This is definitely something to think about.
