Who else is tired of losing the first round in competitive and having a team mate leave?
-
People are always going to have life issues when it comes to multiplayer games. The issue is now with the rank system the team who has the person quit suffers by loosing points (since most 4 on X matches end up being pretty skewed towards the 4 player team). Regardless of the reason 3 or less people get punished for 1 or more people leaving.

I love how people use the excuse that they are scared of getting banned "due to a couple disconnections" as if that was what happens in other games with the banning system in. No, stop telling shameless lies. If you have gotten banned in the past it´s exclusively because you have disconnected far more times than you want to admit and you got justly punished for it. No one gets banned "because they lagged a couple times" The truth is that you want to be able to pick and choose and quit at the smallest inconvenience or loss and you do not care leaving behind dozens upon dozens of struggling teammates. Which would be perfectly fine if you could at least openly admit it, but instead you oppose these banning/punishing systems by pretending that you are just concerned. No, you are not concerned, you are self-serving and selfish, and you fear that the second punishments roll in, you will no longer be able to act on it.

Don't other games do that... like a 15 to 30 minute time out for leaving 3 or 5 in a row or something like that.
-
I think they should do because leaving is pathetic. If you wanted to do Competitive see it to the end or get punished.
-
Yeah it gets annoying but let's also not forget our old friends from D1 like "weasel" kicking people out of matches. I've been kicked a few time from matches myself. Bans for server issues shouldn't be a thing.
-
No because getting punished for getting error coded out of a game would blow.
-
No, only those who use MIDA
-
If there is no rank, then why punish?

Edited by RagingPheonix00: 9/12/2017 12:40:47 PMno, cause the community will always be selfish. looking out for themselves. you literally volunteer your time to play the game. if something comes up and you have to back out oh well. though we will always have whiners that when left alone will come to the forums and berate people for having lives because they live in their parents basement leeching off rhe world. its actually quite comical. could be funny if bungie implemented a survey so to speak after you quit. Why did you quit this match? 1 life issues 2 your servers are crap 3 i had to crap 4 my dog pissed on the xbox for not feeding/let out.
-
yes they should have some type of "time out" when you go into a competitive match it is official you should expect to end the match regardless of clans, etc. it ruins the experience for both teams I understand life can get in the way and you have to leave unexpectedly and if that happens a 10 min or 30 min timeout shouldn't matter much anyways since "life" came up and u had to go.
-
Well to be honest i can see why some people quit. Nothing like joining a competitive only to find your in a 4 solo team vs a clan. 'Oh it may be fine' 10s in your entire team splits up. You run around a corner only to find all 4 of the enemy team behind titan shields spamming Mida's. Such a fun pvp experience.
-
I don't see the point in leaving, considering you only need to participate to earn Shaxx rep for his bounty. After an hour, job done.
-
I think they should get a timeout, 5 minute delay from accessing pvp again and times it by 2 there after. Yesterday I was playing in the new terrible pvp. We were losing 4 to 1.. A player on the other team left. That one player lost the match for that team. We came back and whooped um 6-4. Shows how important another player is to the team in this terrible holding hands pvp format.
-
I know throwing pulls you out the game if you intentionally suicide. Leaving honestly deserves a suspension for a few hours if constantly done
-
Yup a timeout.

I think that bungie should not punish people becausr people should expect to have a full fireteam when going into comp
