Cj: "aye man, try one of them Aifos post"
Cartis: "I'm a lazy bum, i don't think i can do it".
Cj: "how bout i point this gun at your head and force you to do it?"
*points g18*
Cartis: "where did you get that gu-"
*abruptly interrupted*
Cj: "man shut the hell up and type the piece boii!"
Cartis: "but Cj, boys play with toy, my name is chris and I'd rather play with your miss..."
*gets pistol whipped*
Cartis: "okay I'll type"
And so I'm here typing away being threatened by my evil shadow clone.
Anyway... How do you like your games? Do you like a game that's easy ti get into where you can smack your competition with ease? (Like cod i guess)
Do you like games where you determine how you approach a situation (such as Far Cry or MGSV)
Do you like games where it's easy to get but hard to master (every fighting game).
Tell me so i don't get shot the hell up.
Here's my preference.
i love games where it's easy to get in but hard to master.
Halo 5 for example is very easy to get into. Yet there's a very clear difference in terms of skill between a high rank and a low rank, not to mention the amount of depth as well. Wanna sprint? Okay just inow your shields don't recharge.
Wanna ground pound or shoulder charge someone into the shadow realm? If you miss then you're gonna get ooked in the dooker.
The amount of things you can do with a grenade...
Tl;Dr this is my point
Read the damn title.

I want games that I love to play. Right now, it's a few. Titanfall 2, Destiny 2, Halo 5, and Subnautica. All of these games I love. Mostly for their gameplay. Titanfall 2's campaign wasn't that amazing in revealing the universe, but holy hell, its levels were amazing. D2 is just perfect for me. PVE, a much better PVP, cool loot, cool weapons, and cool enemies. Halo 5 is fun for messing around in custom games. And Subnautica helps my cardio for whenever a giant fish is trying to eat me and I'm screaming like a little bitch.

I like games with multiple approaches to achieve a goal. I love both Shadow of the Colossus and Valkyria Chronicles but after a few plays you figure out "the right solution" and there's little incentive to deviate. By contrast, Metal Gear Solid V, for all its flaws, allowed for quite a bit of variety when tackling a problem (well, not every mission, but a lot of them). Which side do you approach from? Kill, supress or avoid guards? Use decoys and distractions to divert the enemy away or lure them to you to be disposed of? Take the risky in-and-out path or skirt around, taking out the wings and working your way inward? Megaman is another good example. You could select which levels to play first which would, in turn, change how you'd approach later levels. There was always the option to play again on a different path.

I liked them finished and well polished

Second option

I like games that have evolving difficulty that forces me to change and adapt the way I play. It's more engaging for me.
-
I like my games scrambled.
-
I'm drawn to games that at the very least, try to do something different. Either through storytelling, mechanics, or art style. Or any way at all, really.

Fun. Literally nothing else matters as long as I'm having fun. I do have some things I usually avoid like RTS games, which I've never really liked, sports games, and recently I've lost my bloodlust so I've slowly drifted away from online competitive games. I do like playing them with just my friends though.

I love my video games like I like my coffee. Big ass titties.

Edited by Auttumnnnn: 9/7/2017 1:02:40 PMWell I like to have several different types of games that all offer different experiences, that I'll switch between depending on what I'm in the mood for. These are the separate experiences I look for: Competitive Casual Grindy Social Creative Discovery I'm currently getting my competitive experience playing Super Smash Bros for Wii U, trying to improve my game with a few different characters.
For those interested, I'm trying to learn Lucario, Meta Knight, Sheik, Captain Falcon, and Pikachu. I'm terrible with Sheik and Captain Falcon.
I'm currently getting my casual experience playing Halo 5 Warzone Firefight and Custom Games.
I have pretty much every REQ item in the game now. Because I have everything, I get 6000 points back for every Gold pack I buy, effectively lowering the price to only 4000 per Gold pack. So I can use whatever I want in Firefight. And Halo 5 has amazing Custom Games, so it's always good fun to see what's going on in the Custom Game Browser.
I'm currently getting my grinding experience playing Brave Frontier, a free-to-play, pay-for-advantage mobile game (as most mobile games are).
I just recently started playing this game again recently after a few years of not playing it. I really enjoy putting in dedicated time to build my team and make it the best it can be. Just upgraded my Lava to her Omni form. She was one of the first units I ever got when I first started playing about five years ago, and now she's more of a badass than ever.
I'm currently getting my social experience playing Black Ops II Search & Destroy. Or, at least, I was. But I can never seem to find a lobby since a few days ago. So I may be in need of a new social game.
SnD is good fun. I sometimes just like to listen to the shit that people say to one another or when speaking aloud. And if I run into some cool people, I'll start talking with them. It's a laid-back way of finding people to talk to on Xbox.
I'm currently getting my creative experience playing Elder Scrolls Online. (explanation in spoiler)
You would think ESO would fall under grindy, but that's not the way it feels to me at the moment. I get a creative vibe playing it because I made a character based on a character from another game, and I'm building my character to mimic that character. His features, weapons, armor, skills, and what quests I choose to do are all to roleplay as that character. And so, I feel like I'm creating the character. It doesn't have to make perfect sense, but that's just how it feels to me. For those interested, the character I'm attempting to create and roleplay as is from Brave Frontier. He's a master thief named Zelnite, who steals from the rich and corrupt. But not to give to the poor, like Robin Hood did. He just loves the adventure and excitement of stealing gold and other valuables.
And finally, "discovery". What I mean by "discovery" is that, through the game, I'm exploring an interesting world or story that I hope to be immersed in. A few examples of "discovery" games that I've played in the past are Dark Souls, Dust: An Elysian Tail, and Fire Emblem. Currently, though, I'm finding that experience in Breath of the Wild.
Everywhere I go, there's something new to enjoy. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the world just feels so interactive and free and consistent and exciting. It's a really cool game.
Edited by Upperclass Bum: 9/6/2017 10:20:13 PMI don't know.. I guess easy to learn, hard to master. I like grindy games that have loads of shit to do, but at the same time, I don't feel like I've the time to dedicate to such things unless I've already established myself in the game (like Farmframe) which is one of the things I feel is holdong me back from even trying to get in to any mmorpgs -- that and I feel absolutely overwhelmed by all the shit on screen and feel I won't be able to progress unless I throw all the monies at it... I'm trying to get in to BDO, but the character creator alone is stressing me out. I plan on using all 6 slots available (purely for the sake of making waifus) and barely manged to finish one and I still find myself going back and changing little details. Working on my Sorceress now and it's driving me nuts. Yeah, I know, I don't have to make a character, but I want to. Getting a little off topic here, but anyways, I guess what I like is being able to jump in at nearly any point and not be miles behind everything whether for pve or pvp, but I know that's not entirely possible with most games. I also like to have a regular group of people I know to play with sometimes, but that isn't really an option for me these days...

Easy to get into, hard to master. Fighting games are my favorite genre for a reason. :
It's situations like these I always keep Papika on hand for security!
I like to have a bit of everything. Sometimes I feel like playing competitive, hard to master kind of games like overwatch, rocket league, halo 5. After I'm done sweating, I like to layback and just mindlessly shoot things in gta or play a nice platformer.
