So i was scrolling through facebook last night and one of my friends posted this up:
there's no magic money tree to support those dying on our streets, to help students who can't afford to eat, to help young businesses function, feed starving mothers, fathers and children. but we can muster up a modest "maybe £40m" to restore a clock that i highly doubt anybody in the 21st century relies on to tell the time.
the government we didn't vote for holds no care in their hearts for the people in need in this country.
the conservative approach is killing the humanity in our society. don't appease the facist tory/republican regime. we will not stand for this.
What are your thoughts on this?
Edit: i will post my opinion on this matter once we hit trending.

As a conservative myself, I think that there is enough money to support people in hard times, at least those who truly need help. The problem is that when the government tries to force people to help each other with "spread the wealth" programs, it reduces the economy's efficiency, and eventually it gets to the point where there truly isn't enough wealth based well-being to go around. I certainly support individuals helping other individuals who need help, but the government cannot solve the problem and forcing people to help others doesn't work; they must do it willingly, of their own accord.
