I know that D1 has come to an end but still I would appreciate if out there there is any experienced player who could help me understand what am I doing wrong when trying to counter handcannons.
I'm using Blind Perdition adept + wormwood/ice breaker and in average I'm always loosing encounters against handcannons unless I manage to put enough distance and kill fast (rare).
Please no obvious/ridiculous suggestions such as "radar awareness" or "aim better" or "that's the meta bro, grab a Palindrome yourself"...I already know that but I'm sure my gun is not that bad and I've seen lots of good players doing much better than me against the meta. When I tried asking them they don't know what to say.
Anyone willing to help?

As for blind perdition.. try scooting back just a hair. Hand cannons have limited range, and their aim assist drops off fast. Hand cannons absolutely dominate the sweet spot between sidearm and pulse rifle range. But get dominated by pulses and sidearms in their respective ranges. If you play with that in mind you shouldn't have too many issues. If you do that and still have issues then I'm sad to say it but you need to aim better... EDIT: Other tips... Try running max armor, if you can reach that magical 200 health number you will survive 1 head + 2 body from a palindrome. Try crouch strafing with your pulse. ALWAYS slide corners and hug cover. And yes... work on radar awareness so you can get the first shot off
