Hey,
You guys ready for the Eclipse? I've never seen one with my own eyes, so I'm kind of excited. But unfortunately, I don't have Eclipse glasses. I'm definitely not looking at it without glasses. So this is where I place my trust in my parents. They were born in the 60s. And they said back in the day people were just using sunglasses. And that these "Eclipse glasses" is just a way for scum to make bank. I really hope they're right about this. I mean, I love my eyes and all.

lol my friend said he will use his 3D glasses...I haven't heard from him for a few hours.
-
I watched without anything because I need that disablity check in my already government assisted life.

Edited by cobalthunter115: 8/22/2017 6:17:20 AMIt sucked. The reason you ask? In Iowa it was -blam!-ing cloudy so I couldn't see it very well with my eclipse glasses (which also causes a ton of strain on my eyes) Still worth it though
-
My high school kept us inside.... I live in Alabama so I guess they thought we'd melt or something like that.
-
It'll be too dark out, better go the next day
-
I was on a flight and the eclipse had passed by the time we got out...-blam!- my life

Edited by LordOf27Donuts: 8/21/2017 1:34:56 PMI'm calling it now there's going to be at least 3 people at my school that go blind today
-
There was a t-storm where I am, so it just really dark. My hermit crabs are usually awake, but they were sleeping. Another in 2024.
-
I'm using a welding helmet from work.
-
I'm in Columbia watching right now
-
Please don't use regular sunglasses... please don't spread that suggestion. My -blam!-ing god.
-
We just passed our maximum coverage of 92%. Cool stuff, figuratively and literally (the air temp dropped significantly).
-
I live in Kansas City, MO; so I'm right in the path of totality. I've got a solar photography lens for my camera, so I'm hoping the clouds move out and I can get a good shot or two.
-
That's not how it works! Haha! You can glance at the sun for a few seconds, but don't stare at the sun without shade #14 lenses or you will -blam!- up your eyes.
-
First it itches. Then it burns. Then it feels like sand in your eyes for two weeks...
-
You can take a glance at the sun and suffer no long term effects. Use sunglasses and if it's still too bright then use 2 pairs.
-
People are going apeshit about these glasses. Common sense people, you can glance at the eclipse, you'll be fine, just dont stare at it like a -blam!-in idiot.
-
Edited by xNyasha: 8/21/2017 2:15:59 PMThat's not the sixties talking. That's just plain idiocy and Luddite nonsense.
-
I already hate this whole deal. So many people at my job want to leave early and see it that my boss changed our break schedule up. I now get to go to lunch two or three hours late. Just great.
-
Nothing like having a solar eclipse on a day where the forecast is clouds and thunderstorms.
-
Wishing I had welding glasses
-
When you get a full eclipse without having to travel
inb4 it rains all day tomorrow
-
And I can't see it. NOOOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Here is a link to make your very own pinhole projector for safe viewing.
-
You can look without glasses nothing will happen to you.
-
I plan to see it through my phone via Camara mode.
