Halo SPV3 is a singleplayer mod to Halo: Combat Evolved for PC. This mod has been 10 years in the making and is now fully available for free download here. SPV3 (or Single Player Version 3) adds a slew of new stuff to Halo Combat Evolved, including new enemies like Brutes and Skirmishers, new weapons like the Bruteshot or the Brute Needler, new vehicles, new areas etc. it is still Halo CE at it's core, but so much is changed it also feels like a new game. I will not spoil everything new, however I can say running through Truth and Reconciliation with a silenced Battle Rifle or The Library in a Wraith is an exhilarating new twist to something that still feels familiar. It is also very refreshing to have what is essentially a new Halo game that is very close to its roots, without hated editions like sprint (well kinda), Spartan Dash, Promethians, etc. I would recommend this to anybody with a copy of Halo PC.
I want to hear your opinions on it. Is it disgraceful to alter a creation made by the gods? Is it a welcome change?

Note However: the file for Halo is bugged and you should make sure you download the correct installer or the patched a30 .yelo file. Also, due to a problem with Chimera, vehicles don't run in 60 fps. This is by far my biggest complaint but otherwise, SPv3.1 is amazing and I hope the CMT team continues to monitor the project in the future instead of diverting all attention to project Oddball.
