It could be the stress of all these job applications, or the fact that I can't stop thinking about a certain person or even that my fan is too loud. Idk. I feel tired, but I can't sleep after hours of trying and it sucks. I already do exercise before bed and that doesn't help.
Advice?

Beat your meat. It releases shit Thats supposed to make you tired. That's what i heard in like 7th grade though...

I lay on my bed with the lights off, and play on my phone until I start dozing off. Usually works within a half hour.

Edited by BannedMythicAccount: 8/21/2017 12:32:59 PMBe more active during the day that your energy runs low nearer the day's end. Keep mobile phone or laptop away from bed before sleep. Eat a large meal a couple of hours before you sleep. The energy needed to digest it will naturally fatigue you. Don't take naps, if you're low energy during the day, it'll ruin your sleep cycle.

White noise helps.
-
Whack on some channel 3 or other boring shit and set the telly to turn of after like 30 mins. You get tired of the boring shit and fall asleep 10/10.

Could be related to your diet. What do you usually eat during the day?

Melatonin pills. Melatonin is a hormone found in all animals that helps them sleep. I use it every night and I sleep much better now.

Try watching some asmr, my dude.

Ask a trusted friend or loved one to hit you over the head with a blunt object. Easy.

I try to sleep but can't get comfy (absolutely necessary for me to fall asleep) so I use the phone a bit and try to last until I get really tired. Not a very good strategy but I don't have anything else really. I wish sleep wasn't necessary for us humans, otherwise I'd never sleep. Sleep is for the weak.

Antimo demohydrate or something similar. They sell it as travel sickness medicine over the counter in Indonesia but it just knocks you out. Specially if you have it with a beer, in half an hour you'll be asleep.

Try winding down earlier in the night and set aside all electronics. Also, get up earlier in the morning. Not sure what time you do already, but that will help as well.

Ear plugs and maybe one of those masks that cover your eyes (forgot what they're called)

Dont exercise before bed for starters. Do that shit when you wake up. Try taking melatonin before you go to bed.

Edited by Silent: 8/18/2017 6:20:00 AMMake a mess and turn lights on. Whenever I had homework to do when I was in school, I would be tired until I completed it. When I am playing games late at night, I'll get tired. Once I stop, no longer tired. If there's a light on... Tired. Try turning a bright light on or your TV on, or whatever, and then try sleeping. Or make a mess of trash. Don't know if it'd work though. As long as your hands have work to do, you'll be tired.

How about creating your own world in your mind and making your own story/what happens? Helps me fall asleep

Trying to stay awake is the easiest way to fall asleep

I find listening to stories helps me.. I mostly listen to "horror" stories on YouTube but it's more for the persons voice than the words. Headphones in shut your eyes and just listen. It kinda drowns out all the thoughts in your head. If you're interested, try CreepsMcPasta, Lazy Masquerade, Lets Read!, urmaker (fear your maker) or Corpse Husband. I've put them in order of which voices are more relaxing.

Are you exposing yourself to computer or phone screens? What time do you wake up at?
