How did you get your first Icebreaker?
With Destiny 2 only a few weeks away, D2 Preorder sales are bad and I wanted to take some time to look back at some of the good memories of Destiny 1 to try win the hearts of the let down Y1 Guardians back over.
Tell me, where were you when you obtained the mighty IceBreaker? What was your reaction? Did it finally get you into the Crota Raid as Boomer Duty?

2 Repliesno one cares how we got our first icebreaker, unlike the Gjallarhorn. Getting a GHorn was a good experience. Getting a GHorn is memorable and cool, icebreaker is just a random exotic

It dropped in my very first raid at the very end after we downed Crota. I did not realize it had dropped until I opened up my character to inspect the raid gear that also dropped for me.

so my first i got on my first y1 nightfall on devils den, then between that and house of wolves i got 3 more.

He claimed it was because he did some dance in the corner of the room after we killed Valus and he had a dream or vision about it happening. We all called bullshit. Anyway, next time Valus came around for the nightfall and my friend was using his ghorn I remembered his 'ritual' and not having a ghorn I thought I may as well give it a shot. And I got my first icebreaker. I was surprised, and although it wasn't ghorn I was pretty happy about it. I didn't use it in raids, as I used SGA, but for Nightfalls it became my go to exotic weapon.

I got so many icebreakers it was embarrassing. My friends all hated me. I would get 2 or 3 a week. Its like how I get hawkmoons now. Its weird. And yet I have never had a jade rabbit and my buddy cant stop getting them but has never gotten hawkmoon. We swear at each other lots lmao
