Hello,
This isn't usually what I post here on OffTopic. But my dog Harley had puppies two days ago. And one of them was smaller than the others. Really didn't think much of it honestly. I just thought the dog would be small. I had to help feed it though. The other puppies were in the way. So I made sure it was feed before going to bed. Even bought some other milk from the vet, just too make sure it got enough food. But when I woke up today he passed away.
I really don't understand why the puppy died. It got a good amount of food, with a nice cozy bed with his mom. So that left me perplexed. Only thing I can think of is he had a birth defect. I should have taken the puppy to the vet. I really regret my decision not too. I've always had a heart for puppies and kittens. I know animals aren't as important as humans. But it still pains me that it never gets too have a life. Thankfully, the other puppies are nice and healthy though.
- I was going to name him Gnash.(Gnasher from GOW) May Gnash R.I.P.

I’m sooo sorry to hear that that’s really hard that has happened to me too that’s sad.R.I.P
-
My condolences.
-
That’s happened multiple times for me. Not even gonna put a sarcastic shitty dumb reply. Good luck to you and sorry for your loss.
-
I'm sincerely sorry to hear that, it's got to be like losing a child or something.
-
Sorry to hear that Hoss. Do not beat yourself up, even if you had taken him to the vet, he probably would not have survived. Think about this, atleast for the time he was here, he was loved & cared for. I am not the best at these things, so I hope I was able to offer you some comfort. It is awesome that you cared for the little guy!

I know how you feel. My mum has an unfortunate knack when it comes to choosing animals. Our first cat died of a lung ailment when she was only a kitten, and our third cat, who was always a bit frail, came down with an illness and stopped eating. She died not long after. Luckily, our second cat (the one I chose) is still going strong and is built like a tank. He's coming up on his 15th birthday I think. We also have two dogs running around (Lhasa Apsos, for those who care). Anyone who says that the death of a pet wouldn't/didn't effect them that much is either ignorant or lying. It must have been especially bad in your case since he was so young.

Edited by BLEEHOW97: 8/10/2017 4:13:27 AMSomething similar happened to me a month or two ago. My dogs found a little rabbit burrow and got a hold of some of the babies in it. 2 of them lived though and so we kept them and fed them and stuff to the best of our ability. But then a couple days later they both ended up dead for some reason. No idea how. We were about to take them to the vet that weekend. We think maybe we just weren't feeding them exactly how they needed to be or they had some internal injury that eventually killed them. Really sad

It should be a rule of thumb to take them to the vet to get checked. That being said, it doesn't mean it is your fault. I have raised all kinds of animals and seen it happen to them all. Sometimes it is just out of your hands.

Awww... poor little guy. Glad the other pups seem to be doing well.

I understand that feeling, my condolences amigo

So 2 days ago I was on the run, he was coming for me and I knew it. My time had finally come. He broke the barrier, all of existence was gonna suffer if I didn't do something quick. I ended up in this quiet neighborhood and broke into one of the homes. Scurrying through the rooms for safety I stumbled across a litter of puppies and before I knew it he manifested himself before me. The angel of death himself, when he attempted to claim my soul I reached for the smallest pup and stabbed it with my spirit dagger and claimed the soul of the young pup, dodged the tencticles of the beast, closed the distance at blinding speeds and stabbed the monster in its heart. Don't feel bad bro, your pup died for a good cause. The realm is safe.

Both of my dogs, both of my parrots, both of my Guinea pigs, and all of my fish are dead so I know how it feels. my condolences to you good sir

Sorry for your loss. I really am. Don't ever say humans are more important than other animals again though.

R.I.P I feel bad for you. It was probably a developmental issue.

That's life. Sometimes, creatures are not mean to survive and the same applies to humans. The difference is that for humans we will do the necessary for them to survive. My sister had heart problems from birth but thanks to modern medicine she is still alive. If this happened to a dog, I don't think anyone would spend the money to do the necessary so don't feel too bad that you couldn't save him.

I don't recall a character called gnash in God of War........
-
That's to bad, how many puppies are left though
-
My condolences to you. I usually don't care when other people have troubles, but you're a nice guy and I want to wish you my best. My best guess is that he was a runt, which also saddens me.
About the above comment, I'm just blunt and don't care much for strangers.
May Gnash rest in peace.

Sorry for the loss. What type of pooch?

Time to rip up your basement floor and go on a murder spree. It worked for Keanu.
