Ok, say I'm crazy if you must but it's obvious that Eris Morn is the main, endgame enemy! Let's go into details here.
Eris Morn was an Awoken Guardian that served the Vanguard with her fellow fireteam which eventually died during a raid on Crota. Blah Blah Blah, eventually, she ended up the dark, disgusting pits of the Hellmouth and lost her eyes to the darkness. Over the years, as Eris lost her light, her vessel was easily corruptible by the Hive. She is possessed by the last Hive God we have not seen yet...the Queen of the Hive (We will call her Beyonce for simple purposes).
Why do you think Eris has darkness spewing out of her Hive eyes and her convenient, ominous way to communicate with Crota and Oryx via her green, glowing orb? Why do you think the Hive are still fighting us along with Taken still in the system? Beyonce is alive and well, and getting ready to take over the Hive via a power void.
Eris has sent us to kill EVERY POSSIBLE HIVE LEADER: Sardon, Omnigul, Crota, Oryx, Alak-Hul, Malok. Obviously she's using the guardians to destroy the chain of command so she can eventually take over the system. Eris is also a part of the Hidden group which consists of Mara Sov, Ikora Ray, and Eris Morn. Mara Sov alluded to this in the monologue of the Taken King cinematic where she "died".
Such by knowing the story, you can tell Eris set Ikora Ray up to destroy the Hive power chain and set Mara Sov up to destroy the Awoken fleet. She also set Cayde up so we would stop the Cabal from blowing up her soon-to-be ship, the Dreadnaught.
Remember when Eris teleported us out of the Hellmouth? She teleported Queen Mara Sov out and trapped her somewhere (maybe the unused door of the Tower next to the Speaker? lol) so she can use her in the future.
She will be the main enemy in Destiny 2/3.
Just wait.

I actually trust Eris Morn. She seems reliable to me only because I can relate to her and I've grown to like her and her cryptic messages. Sadly, I still believe that there is a slight possibility that she'll be an enemy. But, I still trust her more than Variks, the Loyal.
