Welcome to episode 57 of the #destinytruthcast where you the community join us in talking all things Bungie and Destiny. Today RedWingGirl is sadly unable to join, but I am joined in a mini epesode by community guests Pro Yunk and Justin Giver
Today's topics include:
-Guest showcases
-Would D2 benefit from a shooting range?
-Do you feel our guardians should talk in D2?
-Will Luke Smith ever learn to communicate with his audience?
-Should the "Ask Bungie Anything" have been done here on the bnet forums rather than on IGN with cherry picked questions?
-Favorite moments of the week
Once again thank you to Pro Yunk and Justin Giver for joining us today and we thank you for listening

Great episode, Sols. I wanted to comment on the lack of voices for our Guardians. As you mentioned, I have long-argued that Bungie missed so many opportunities to help us forge emotional connections to our Guardians. We can't name them, there is no transmogrification, no apartments or customizable personal spaces (the ships would have been perfect!), and we have no voices. I think the reason you're seeing the backlash over the lack of voices has everything to do with two cutscenes we played through in the Beta, with one that really stands-out: when Ghaul kicks our ghost off of the Tower, just before kicking us off, we reach out for our falling ghost, and turn back to Ghaul...saying nothing, just staring like a mute moron. Not even a grunt of disapproval. That scene lost ALL emotionality (for me) because of my mute Guardian. I actually felt like something was wrong with my character. I am really disappointed that, once again, Bungie has done nothing to help us connect with our Guardians on an emotional level. Seems both lazy and disinterest in what should be standard in an RPGish release.
