G'day, Guardians!
Just a friendly reminder that Bungie had made another game with a silent protagonist some time ago. It was considered to be one of the best entries in the Halo franchise due to the storytelling and gameplay. It had a full ensemble cast of actors who gave the game some level of life and narrative, something that Destiny also does. It also had our Rogue-ish Commander, Nathan Fillion aka Cayde-6, as a not-so-rogue-ish commander who was still a badass.
Halo 3 ODST was that game.
The story direction of Destiny 2 is following in the footsteps of that game, one that people had really enjoyed for being a massive change of pace from the Halo franchise. Bungie are doing this because they know it was a winning formula. So, with this in mind, perhaps now you can all take a massive step back and have think about what you are actually mad about. If you all like ODST, then there is no reason to hate Bungie for taking Destiny down the path that a game that everyone liked had followed.
