1) "This beta has things wrong with it."
2) "Obviously, the beta is terrible and this is exactly what it's going to be like on launch".
3) This Week At Bungie says that some of the problems have already been fixed on the current build of the game, and that they'll continue working on the other issues leading up to the launch.
4) "Obviously, the beta is terrible and this is exactly what it's going to be like on launch".
5) Cancels preorder.
I know not everybody does this, but the number of people that do is shocking...and it's stupid as hell to boot.

Thought process of someone who defends Bungie in the face of all contradictory evidence... 1. Bungie puts out beta. 2. Beta is overwhelmingly poorly received. 3. Bungie says, "Oh, BTW that's a two-month-old build. We have a super-secret new build where all this stuff you brought up is already fixed. Trust us." 4. Well if they said it, it must be true! 5. Has a momentary flash memory of the many times Bungie has intentionally mislead the community but pushes it aside. After all, Bungie did say "Trust us". It must be true.
