While I'm a bit split on this matter its only because I mostly see it from the players that don't get a lot of kills or aren't that good in PvP. I know I'll probably get bashed for it but I think the current state of supers should remain the same in PvP but buffed in PvE. just like the people who complained on Dark Souls being hard and the company told them to get good I think that should be the role model for the people who can't get by and not get a super in PvP. so far I've gotten min mid match every time as has 99% of people I've seen so there should be no other reason to not get a super unless you're not actually adapting to how you're supposed to play the game(which I wont lie its pretty passive which is OK with me but I can see why people hate it)

PVP sucks. Plain and simple. It's designed for punks and or millennials. Bring on the salt.
-
They did this for trials and i'm glad they did. Want your super? Get kills. Too many times have I seen players camp supers, wait out almost every round to play for supers. I have seen 3 defenders pop 3 bubbles on the cap point of a round in trials to win. Now it's all about gun fights and teams who stick together. The team shooting annoys me because it punishes the good players who I know can take out an entire team but one thing Bungie did do right was the abilities/supers. Need to work for it..
-
It depends on how well you do. If they only get 3 kills they don't deserve their supers. Just my opinion.
-
Its been a while, i had to dust it off before use. Git gud scrub.
-
Some ppl are bad players then.
-
There was several times I could have gotten a super but I leeched to much super juice while cooking nades to make them ultra potent. I knew it would prevent a super, but is just so fun to do.
-
I think its fine. If you dont do well then you dont get a super. Do well, get rewarded with a super. I really prefer this over the crucible in D1 where a stormcaller can sit back behind their team and not get a single kill and yet get a super in two to three minutes and then just wreck the other team. I find this rather unfair for people who actually have skill and get kills. So in D2 these skill-less players are actually going to have to try if they want a super and even then, they still might not.
-
I actually forget to pop my super
-
It's unfortunate, I want to see my kills go towards something at least, maybe even reward kills from the air somehow? Reward precision kills? ~TheGreatNike

Even when you do good in this current state of PvP the super only comes once in a match. The charge rate is simply to slow. The only way you can be getting 2 supers in a match right now is if you're in God mode basically. 1. The matches are shorter so this contributes to not getting your super more. 2. More importantly, the rate at which it charges is seriously and horribly slow. *No joke, I have done very well in games and only gotten the super 1 time. Very few times did I get it twice and the 2nd one came at the heels of the game. They have to increase the super ability charge rate. Part of what makes the game fun is using the supers.
-
I average 2.0 plus k/d in beta and only get 1 super. I'm constantly at the top of the winning or losing team. Not bragging just saying even playing well the super comes too late in the match to even matter. It's not even worth using.
-
Massive tried that with The Division and nearly destroyed their own game. They realized that no one has to play their game, and when it stops being fun people quit.
-
It's offends me you call them supers still. They are known as mediocres now jeez 😂

Edited by jutsu: 7/25/2017 4:11:15 AMI think that the refresh rate of supers is fine. However, I believe that you should be rewarded more energy for every positive action; i.e. kills, captures, plants, defuses, etc. This system partially translates to PVE, being as though there is quite the multitude of minor adds to build super energy from.
-
I get mine approximately between 4:30-6:00into the match. I do usually score quite a few of "kills ( + assists now lol )".
-
-had a 2 of -led my team -won the match No super
-
Dark Souls tag line is "Prepare to Die". It's an entire game series based around the premise of being hard. Don't bring it up like it's at all relevant.
-
Dark Souls isn't hard at all....git gud lol
-
no one has gotten their super mid match you idiot.

Edited by bnetflustercluck: 7/23/2017 9:05:32 PMThe KD/A emphasis should be helping players get more kill credit and subsequently more super energy. I've had the occasional match without a super, but for the majority of the time I get at least one super, and there have been times I've had two. Advice for those players struggling to get their supers: roll with your team, don't go wandering off, shoot, assist, get that super energy, launch your super. There isn't really much more to elaborate on. If you're spending half the match alone and wondering why your team and the opposition are getting supers, then wondering why you aren't, then crying for free supers by having Bungie reduce cooldowns. Get out there and work for it. Be a better player by not sitting around relying on ability spam. Buff cooldowns for PVE, but PVP is about right imo.

They dont get their supers bc they are bad...
-
The only time im guaranteed a super a game is in countdown Not hating, i dont think imma go back to d1 after the beta, but the cooldowns are just waaaaay to long
-
I've never been that great at pvp and I got a super every one I played?
-
its called getting good you not good? no super for you lol
-
Honestly the super now only last what? 10-15 sec and it does not make a huge difference with multi kills like destiny 1
-
The very first match I played, didn't get Super.
