Why is nova bomb so slow. Just feels weak and easy to dodge. Hopefully theres upgrades that make it faster. Jw if anyone else feels the same.
EDIT: ive gotten used to it being slow and i feel it isnt as bad as i initially thought, but hopefully the option that makes the nova bomb faster will hopefully help in the full game.

Edited by MrPoPo33: 7/25/2017 8:13:49 AMWait.. so you might actually have to use it more carefully and strategically?? GOD FORBID!! Why doesn't everyone on this board just ask for what they really want? "Bungie I want an automatic NUKE button that only I and nobody else can use, gimme it or your game sucks.. respect my flakes"
-
There are 2 upgrade paths, one said it became bigger, slower, gained tracking, and can be shot by the user while in air to detonate early. That is the path we got. The other will probably be the same old nova bomb you know.

It's a spirit bomb now, ie much more badass. ~Nyahh! =^,.,^=

Edited by Solarvoidlock: 7/27/2017 12:50:14 PMI throw it only when I'm like 0-8 meters away from the enemy and only aim at feet/ground (PvP). Good thing it has a big blast radius. There hasn't much changed from my observation. Just should get a little closer before you drop it. Because it doesn't fall and the tracking, like in Destiny, is not good enough, inconsistent. I like that the nova doesn't even take half of my health while I have 0 armor resistance when I throw it at my feet (tested it). In Destiny I was almost dead. Edit: I want to add that the baby novas have really good tracking though. Can get some nice kills with it. And while the mother nova's tracking seems inconsistent, it can be really good too. Watched some videos on Youtube where the mother chased a player across half of the map.

Have you seen how heavily it tracks?
-
Have you seen lance? It makes it shoot farther faster...
-
M8 have you seen the tracking on that thing?

If D1 introduced a slow moving Nova Bomb, it would have been the norm; therefore, if D2 introduced the original speed of the Nova Bomb, people would still complain Point: Nothing pleases anyone.

I seriously don't see the problem with the Nova Bomb. I mean that damn thing is like Goku's -blam!-ing Spirit Bomb in size, and when it hits it takes everything to GTFO of there. I always get caught in blast or the little Master Roshi Spirit Balls follow my ass and KABOOM. I rarely (even in D1) fly and Nova, because I could miss, so I usually run in middle of a group and Nova the ground.
-
I feel the same, i only like to play warlock and the Nova is crap, not good for pvp, maybe the other nova is better (the one that is not available). This one is too slow, worked better on pve than pvp. Axion bolt is crap. Tried the other characters and looks like bungie nerfed all of them. Hope they fix it. D2 beta doesn't make my day. Rather play D1.

Well, because "no va" is Spanish for "it doesn't go".

It's hilariously awful.

Edited by RoninPhoenix650: 7/23/2017 3:22:49 AMIt's slower for a reason, it's stronger. There is a faster version that doesn't track or have additional bombs you just can't unlock it. I like it though, I create 7 orbs on a regular basis with it on modular mind. I can't think of any other boss where I've been able to that without it getting the killing blow. You had to chose between making orbs for team or doing dmg to boss, now you can do both. That is of course assuming more bosses than this one will have add spawns.

this man is copying my trade marked name for the slowva bomb!! lawsuit filed !!! but in all seriousness thank you for supporting the cause

It feels like it needs better tracking. I've used it a few times and watched it track for a second before giving up and just hitting a wall. I have seen videos where it tracks hardcore and I'd like to know how to do that but still. It feels weak for a super even if it does better damage. I ended up running dawnblade a lot.
-
Lob it over pve heads, shoot it to detonate it when you want it to pop. I haven't used it in pvp. Seemed pointless and it wouldn't catch anyway in pvp.
-
I kind of like the idea. Big blob... oh sheznet... But it would be kewl to have it slip in more mini blobs that have faster tracking. It takes so long to throw the super out I think I died almost every time I used it. I guess you have to plan ahead like a fusion.
-
I was thinking of throwing it at the ground. Mine always flies away like a purple goodyear blimp.

The big radius is slow. The smaller vortex one is faster.
