I like the streamlined subclasses, especially the addition of the new class ability. Also, I enjoy that armor does what armor is supposed to do in terms of mobility, resilience, and recovery ability. A couple of extra perks would be nice, but overall I'm disappointed. I love the new weapon system as far as running a hand cannon/auto rifle or something similar, but "power" weapons don't really feel powerful enough. I find myself not really using them.
That said, maybe make some exotic "power" weapons that fit in the energy/kinetic slots (I'm sure there will be). Especially if the ammo for those will only be dropping from more high powered enemies. At least a good shotgun or sniper anyway.
Recharge rates on abilities could use a very slight boost, at least on the PvE side. I enjoy having to actually use a weapon instead of trying to spam abilities. It makes me think more about what I'm doing. However, the Super charge rate is snail-paced. Even kills won't get you a single use sometimes in a match. Same for PvE. This is in need of SEVERE adjustment.
Otherwise I've had a lot of fun with the BETA. The strike is lengthy enough to be fun, but not too long to make me not want to grind them. The first story mission was a blast, and I'm enjoying PvP's new 4v4 format. The smaller maps keep it fast paced, and there is a massive focus on sticking with your team outside of maneuvering to flank.
This is only a piece of the game, but I have hope for it overall. I'm probably only echoing things already said, but hopefully these opinions don't go unheard.
