Frankly, they learned their lesson from D1. We played half the campaign in the Beta and when it launched, there was little to do but wait for the next expansion. This is really just a test of their servers and network code, primarily for PvP. Frankly I'm okay with that, because the network and net code in D1 were terrible for PvP. If they haven't solved these issues, I will not be buying it so I need to know it works before plunking money down.
