I don't have 5500 grimoire because I took a very long break since Destiny became stale for me, but I have played since D1 beta. I can tell you that I find the new subclasses fun and think 2/3 of the new exotics are fun. I also feel like the story mission we are able to play sets the bar high for what to expect from npc's. I haven't played crucible yet (spent most of my time jumping around between characters trying out the subclasses and abilities) and feel indifferent about the strike at the moment. I won't sugar coat it and say it was amazing... it's a beta... it's got bugs,l and a few things that need to be polished (I've run into the mysterious "misadventure" multiple times). I think some people just fall victim to the "if it's new it's amazing" syndrome. However, I will say that it's a good sign and I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for the full release.
