Nope but I feel skill should be rewarded over luck
-
And this is the issue. What might be OK in pvp isn't always gonna work in pve. As it is now, who wants to spend 10 minutes trying to beat down a boss with a primary while no other ammo drops? Bullet sponges =boredom
-
Wouldn't call him a bullet sponge but you have a point. They should increase orb drops across the board in pve

Edited by Leprous Itch: 7/19/2017 12:01:46 AMHow tf is this boss a bullet sponge? You wanna talk bullet sponges then look at the first few strikes of D1
-
I'm not denying they were rough especially valus but dude this strike I was like wtf... I had flashbacks. I'm a day 1 alpha player so seen it all but this was bad.
-
How is it bad? I think it's one of the best strike bosses
-
This dude literally drops you through the floor 2 times and is a huge bullet sponge. No interesting way to fight him. He is literally valus taurc year one.
-
What?? Valus Taurc was literally a colossus that was made a little bit bigger and a banner on his back. Exact same character model. Exact same weapons. All he did was walk around shooting rockets and his chain gun till you shot him in the head enough. That was it. The colossus had the exact same attack. This boss has a unique design and changing appearance as you progress. Changes weapons as you progress through each arena. Changes the arena three times. Literally turns the floor into lava. You have to fight up close as he chases you down when his health is low. The circles and flanks you in the lower arena. Teleports. Literally has so many different attack patterns (compare that to Valus that stood in one spot shooting then walked to the other side shooting rockets) and you're going to say it's just a bullet sponge?? Jesus Christ there's no pleasing you people. How in the -blam!- is this the same as Valus? You're an idiot if you think that. It's the most dynamic strike boss we have seen. It took all the good elements of the strike bosses that TTK gave us and did even more. Baboon.
-
You'll see:)
-
I have played the strike many times already and your point is dumb.
-
How do you figure? I understand our light and been taken, however as it is we essentially have nothing but primaries and with virtually no heavy/special drops and recharge rate of molasses. .quite frankly the boss battle is way drawn out. When you are spraying mag after mag, this is a bullet sponge.
-
I don't get what the ammo complaint is.. Maybe I just got a good kinetic exotic. I use an elemental assault rifle, that chain gun exotic, and the grande launcher. Yes heavy ammo is scarce and I'm sure they will fix that. Head shots with the chain gun exotic do crazy damage to him and since its special ammo, you get a decent amount of pickups. Shout I mean the sub machine gun does amazing damage if you can get close. Me and my teams take him out pretty quickly. And the bullet sponge argument.. He is one of the most dynamic strike bosses they have given us. If you wanna see bullet sponge go fight nexus mind again.
-
Ammo complaint is by far my own experience. I also had the pleasure of attempting 2 man, then solo for a bit. Point is after how many years of "destiny" it seems to have completely changed for a lesser model, which will not keep people content and playing. However, pvp is feeling nice.
-
What do you mean by it has changed for a lesser level?
-
Backwards. From good to not so good. What keeps you playing? This kind of game play would have worn me out long ago. I enjoyed being able to run through various strikes in a reasonable amount of time. How are the raids gonna pan out with this build?
-
How will they play out with what build? I don't really know what you mean. The way the weapon load outs work? And I got worn out playing D1. I don't even think I touched it for a whole year. But I also played it into the damn ground. The RNG and character building is awesome bosses like this keep me playing?
-
The build= very low dps, and limited grenade/super. To me this is what was enjoyable ..you learn the playlists and equip for them. . And have fun! With the beta it seems like we're going to be stuck hammering "primaries" the whole damn time.
-
I mean, it's a beta.. They're testing out their current system and seeing how it works. I'm sure all of this is going to be altered in the final product.
