So is it just me or is anyone else about to die of old age trying to get their super in D2?
I can't find a way to boost the charge rate either.

Hunter Arcstrider Super: Why does the swinging of the "pole" sound like a freaking Lightsaber straight out of starwars? Please change it!
-
-
Well Ghaul did take our light.
-
Could just be me, but when the traveler wasn't restrained, we had faster charging supers. Now that we only get our light from a shard of the traveler (i think its a shard of the traveler), maybe thats why our supers charge slower. Maybe its story related.
-
...it shocks me how many people don't understand Destiny is an RPG as well as an FPS. this means you should be able to rely on your abilities just as much as your guns
-
Edited by StrongSide: 7/19/2017 4:47:50 PMIt's a beta with limited gear to test the over all gameplay not just supers. I'm sure this allows bungie to collect data and see what needs changed. Once the full game is out we will get some gear that charges our supers faster.
-
Bungie shoudl start the DLC hype. Main game is over.
-
Yep. Actually got bored with PVP after a few matches. Everything takes too long to charge, abilities feel weak, guns all feel the same, 'Heavy' ammo feels irrelevant, radar is absolute trash. Pvp=. Boring so far PVE looks good though, that first mission was awesome.
-
Glad i didnt play the beta
-
It takes a lot less than a millennium

Welcome to a world with no (no is a term susceptible to change and in this passage it reads "slow af") light ~ Gary, 2017

Edited by SpacemanSpff434: 7/19/2017 4:21:39 PMIf the last game was about feeling powerful then this game is about not having power. I'm really hoping there are armor and weapon perks that allow us to manipulate super, melee and grenade cool-downs. On the other side the god damned pvp is balanced. We're finally firing marshmallows at each other.
-
We played the D1 Beta for 3 years and Bungie never really fixed anything then soooo ........
-
Just buff the charge rate in PvE (more super energy from killing AI would be simple to code in)
-
That is the one thing I noticed it took forever and also orbs don't give u that much either
-
I'm legit scares they will "balance" the charge rates and people will get supers every 10 seconds.
-
Wait.... there are supers in d2?? I only got to play for a few hours last night is probably why i never got mine then.
-
An open letter to Gary
-
Really hope there will be armor and weapon perks in the full game that help with cooldown reduction, because that slow ass cooldown is really gonna suck for PvE.
-
Pvp yeah super charge is pretty slow. I really didn't mind it though. Pve i used my super a bunch of times when players would take out ads and drop orbs. I see players use their supers on the boss with half health and i think, noooooo the orbs!
-
Edited by TURI3O: 7/19/2017 3:46:59 PMIt should be faster in PvE for sure and PvP might need a slight boost to make two a match more obtainable.
-
It could be narrative driven in PvE. Ghaul took our light. So in PvE maybe the more story missions we do, the closer we get to regaining our light and full potential. As for PvP. I won't lie, I'm happy Bungie slowed the charge rate down in there. I will hold back judgement on this because it is just the beta and we can't access the full story mode yet. Just my thoughts.
-
Someone gotten spoiled with day break and mayhem. I believe the true intention of slow supers, heavy, grenades, etc. is that you approach the game more strategic giving the situation. Instead of tossing those random grenades and cross map supers, one must plan out they're engagements accordingly.
-
It's not just you. Bungie over-corrected and sung the pendulum too far the other direction.

Bungie still works with artificial scarcity and planned obsolescence. They also slow the game down in the beginning (think vanilla Destiny) and make progression faster the longer the game exists. It's all part of a planned marketing strategy. Overwhelm people with hype and eyecandy, talk about irrelevant things and how much you care about "the gamers", then sell them an inferiour product. Now it's easy to "patch" obvious faults to make the game "better" until you are at a point where you have already been. Rinse and repeat.
The idiots fall for it time and again. smh
