So is it just me or is anyone else about to die of old age trying to get their super in D2?
I can't find a way to boost the charge rate either.

Agreed. But I was astonished at how slow my grenade was. Seriously, is this just a shooter clone now? I'm harsh, but seriously. Voidwalker was cool but REALLY? The recharge rates are just aweful. That said, PVP was an oddly wonderful and refreshing experience. I just want to be able to fling purple doom more often. Oh well. If I want my magic fix I'll just load up Magicka 2. Or Skyrim.
-
Don't forget in D1 we have our armor to increase intellect and get super quick. In the beta our armor has no bonus to anything. It may be a beta thing or might be a D2 thing who knows don't put to much thought into it until the actual game releases.
-
Good The cheapest and strongest things should be rare not 5x a game
-
I was impressed with how slow it charged, on top of how little extra super enemies gave. Also, the warlock jump is currently ruined. All three were garbage, purely for speed. I could have crawled places faster.
-
I have been thinking/saying since the reveals that D2 looked to really prolong the gameplay. So far the beta experience is leaning that way
-
I like it the way it is, get kills and it charges faster. I thought it charged way too fast in D1.
-
My super charges pretty good in the beta
-
Get more kills. They did it right this time. You can boost super charge by getting kills. The more kills the faster your super charges. They made D2 more fireteam friendly which I don't like. A fireteam usually has a huge advantage. They made it so that people will seek out to collect orbs after one person on their team uses their super, as orbs still charge supers. I have had a super twice in 1 game.
-
Even getting a lot of kills in crucible you're still really only looking at 1 Super a match and that's pretty lame. At least 2 would be decent enough for me. I've had at least 4 matches of Countdown that ended before anyone got theirs just because of how fast the game plays sometimes. I just feel like a little tweak would go a long way. A tweak for grenade launchers wouldn't be bad either, they're weak as shit compared to everything else. Otherwise I'm enjoying it all so far
-
The dialogue is not keeping up, the sound goes in and out at times, and there's always this one part in the strike where it says loading then it freezes
-
At least bungie recycles
-
I agree. I see why they did it this way so that some people don't have constant supers in crucible and I'm not asking for them to add intellect, discipline, and strength stats again but they should up the charge rate a bit. In PvE it's annoying to not have abilities most of the time, I mean I only get like 2-3 supers in the strike and if I wipe after using my super on the boss I'm more than likely not getting another super. In crucible most matches I've played end before anyone even gets supers. I'd like at least one super per match.
-
I'm sure it has something to do your gear. From what I gear, the gear in the beta don't have intellect, discipline, and strength stats.
-
People also seem to forget about intellect and discipline and strength. I've only played the beta for about half an hour but it seems like there's no gear in the beta with those stats. So I'm sure we'll get supers and nades quite a bit quicker when that happens.
-
There were times when I felt as if I should have had my super - and I didn't yet. I think that maybe it has to do with our power level, or maybe it's our actual level only being 20. Maybe when we reach a high enough level, things such as a super charge faster? Maybe certain gear makes your super charge faster? We'll just have to see how things pan out in the final release. Maybe we'll receive a blog post soon detailing the concerns and fixes.

Definitely needs to be faster

I really don't get the people that like the PvP of D2. "Now it takes skill!"? Who cares about skill instead of just having fun? This game isn't and never will be competitive because of the extremely awful backbones technical standards, so why even bother? Vanilla Destiny was great despite all it's flaws because it was actually different from other games...because it was fun. Supers, Grenades, strong Melees, Specials, awesome Primaries, etc. It was literally like Halo on Steroids. Now it's just another lame Halo wannabe without the epicness and technical perfection of Halo. It's like CoD with an ultraslow ttk and a crappy small playercount combined with the worst P2P system out there. You're forced to use crappy Primaries because other things aren't availiable most of the time. What's the purpose of being a superhero when you cannot even use your superhero powers to your advantage? What's the point of Destiny when you cannot even use what makes Destiny different from other games? Hell, even Titanfall 2 is the better Destiny now and that's really sad. The PvP of Vanilla Destiny was great and only needed some minor tweaks. Of course it wasn't perfect, but the important thing was that is was special and fun...and look what it is now...it is a whole different game. Completely different from the early days that made this game great. If you like the PvP of D2, you either never played the PvP of Vanilla D1...or you hated the PvP of Vanilla D1. It's a shame that a former awesome game was destroyed just to cater to a group of the playerbase that didn't even play or like the original.

I know how to bust your charge get kills scrub Jk But honestly the Charge needs to be increased not a lot just a little bit
-
did some testing i nthe starting mission before arriving at the ship Warlock 2 supers Hunter 2 1/2 supers Titan 3 1/2 supers. I think it is all about the passives they have us lined up with in beta.

Edited by Drazatis: 7/19/2017 8:05:10 PMI personally think every player should have access to one super per game, and if you're really rocking it (talking like 20+ elims) then you can have two. This could all be chalked up to the new kda system, since you're being rewarded a "kill" for participating in it, makes it kinda hard to dictate how much super you should gain.
-
Would u say it takes along as the DMV?
-
YES. Ability cooldowns are too long. 82 seconds for grenade and melee, and like 7 1/2 minutes for super!? Not cool. I love the emphasis on gunplay, that's been needed for a while, but the recharge is just too slow. Something like 45-60 seconds for nade/melee and 5-6 min for super would be great.
-
Edited by mahunt2013: 7/19/2017 7:50:48 PMPlease it is a beta. Stop the complaining and enjoy. Maybe armor perks speed that up.
-
Yes and that's a good thing.
-
Edited by Jezrelm: 7/19/2017 8:06:42 PMThe granades and melee also charge slowly, but I think that's positive. Lore wise, you don't have the light of the traveler any more.

This is the beta, it's not set in stone. Now's the Time to tell BUNGIE how you feel about the slow super rate rather than join the circle jerk of crybabies complaining of here. Go to the feed back section.
