Never used it before and even now it kills faster than my Luna or Palindrome. And let's not even talk about how broken the range stat is

Edited by DuBChiri2: 7/20/2017 6:44:00 AMThorn. 2 tap crossmap, beautiful looking gun, very distracting effect. Now? It's ok
-
Nah not by a long shot. Pre-nerf Vex takes the cake followed closely by the pocket sniper Hawkmoon. Also, Pocket Infinity.
-
Edited by DrPhilaBole: 7/18/2017 4:37:31 PMno. pre Hotfix Vex was the best, it could melt an entire 6 man team in one clip. followed up by Pre 1st weapons patch Red Death. thye nerfed that one so much that even the flavor text got hit.
-
I'm going with the first incarnation of Hopscotch Pilgrim. It used to be two trigger pulls and could beat TLW from mid to long...
-
No, THORN will always hold that honor.

"Broken range stat" wont kill anybody more than 20 feet away from you unless they have life crippling cerebral palsy and can't shoot you back

Edited by Hova: 7/18/2017 3:23:07 PMIf we're talking ever I'm surprised the fatebringer hasn't been mentioned. It was part of the holy trinity in y1
fatebringer/spindle/ghally
On a side note how does the Monte Carlo do currently?
-
Maybe before Bungo violated the hell out of it and gave all of its users PTSD yea.

no. that would be Mida Multitool, followed closely by year 1 vision of confluence.

Such a bait way to promote your crappy youtube channel. Muted.

was once the best pvp weapon imo never a good pve weapon.
-
At its prime, yes hands down. Anyone who says otherwise is a fool and was a little Thorn b*tch.....
-
No. It's not the best now, and if we're talking about guns in their prime, it's either Suros or Vex.
-
Thorn is the likely winner but feel original hopscotch at least deserves a mention. Was a sad day when not only did they nerf the high impact pulse archetype but changed hopscotch to a 55-all fate
-
Not even close. TLW is tailored towards a certain crowd or a certain kind of player with a certain playstyle. It was NEVER well suited for my playstyle, and even when I used HC's, I used High Impact, LR hand cannons with low RoF rather than TLW or its archetype. It's top tier if you use it for what it's built for, but it's not the hands down best HC or best Primary in the History of Destiny. In PVE, that would belong to FB. In PVP, you can make an argument for each of the three exotic HC's, or for HC's like Timur's Lash, Finala's Peril, The Red Hand, Lord High Fixer, etc. But with legendaries, its always about the perks rather than the gun. If you don't have good perks to fit the gun, it's not going to be a good weapon anyways.

Suros Regime gets my vote. 🇺🇲 ~TheGreatNike

No. Tlw is a niche gun for a specific playstyle. It works amazing for the playstyle but that's it. The only reason it was dominant for so long in PvP was because of a broken/bugged perk. The old bonus precision damage when hip firing also was working when ads. I have no idea why bungie let this run rampant for months. But yet white nail gets disabled in a week and vanilla bed gets nurfed a week after it became popular in the crucible. Any weapon that was only dominant because of a bugged perk and not because of its inherent design does not qualify for best primary.

The Chaperone
but seriously though

in all seriousness

it's

the khovostov (white rarity version)
I'll give my vote to the OG Suros.
-
OG Hung Jury gets my vote.
-
For me at least the best primary should be exotic as their best perks aren't available on legendary weapons. That leaves it down to 3 for me Hawkmoon Red Death Bad Juju I can't pick but I'd rather have life regen over extra super energy, but prefer HCs to the terribly managed high impact pulse rifle archetype (slowly went from two burst monster to unusable in crucible) so I guess NLB?

OG Thorn. Cry at its name. Many of us did.
