Simple question, I for one say hell yes. Evolution is a major part of biology and science as a whole, and should be taught.
And at the same time we should get intelligent design out out out.

I find it mind boggling that we still need to have discussions like this, of course evolution should be taught. What better way to captivate the young minds of future scientists than to question the origins and development of life as we know it. "God did it" is a bit of an anticlimax and isn't exactly thought provoking now is it? Regardless of stance towards creation or evolution:[b] religion inhibits scientific progress[/b]. Knowledge and the scientific application of it , that's what will broaden mankind's horizons, not the prattle of preachers.
