A big argument you made what that Destiny Youtubers are a "mouthpiece" for Bungie and thus "can't be fully trusted." You're implying that Destiny Youtubers are giving dishonest, purely positive opinions for the purpose of getting revenue for their videos. While I do understand that part of the reason content creators make videos is to make money, that doesn't mean they innately have glorified, dishonest opinions about the game. There are plenty of content creators who are genuine and who share their complete honest opinions about the game.
-
I didn't mean to imply that. I'm willing to bet that half of them wish they could have just stopped playing this mess of a game a long time ago, but its buttering their bread, so they push on. But they are covering the game and that is publicity for bungie. Did you ever a watch a Destiny video and then get inspired to turn the game on, even though you have been frustrated with it lately? If you did, thats effectively an advertisement for Bungie. These Yters "act" happier about than they are. Which can "influence" you (or anyone) into playing. Many of them made their bones from this game. Its a conflict of interest, in some ways. The people that cover multiple games aren't as pressured to put the positive "spin" on the situation. Its really quite simple and obvious.
-
I agree that many of them are pressing on with Destiny because it is what they started with, but you can tell from guys like Kruzer that they don't hold back when they feel that the game is in a really bad state. I do think that if they could have switched games a few months ago, many of them would have since the game was in such a bad state while Destiny 2 was far away. They certainly have some tough decisions to make sometimes.
-
So.... which one of these Yters are you, really? This account you are on is obviously a second account. And you are oddly advocating for the YTers in a way that makes you either privy to information or sympathetic to their efforts. If you don't want to tell me here, send me a PM. I'll keep your secret safe. ;)

Edited by LikeGlitta: 7/15/2017 6:37:54 PMI'm not a content creator at all whatsoever. I simply respect what they do since I recognize the amount of time and effort it takes for some of them to pour their genuine personality into each and every video, especially when they have to make videos about a game that is in one of the worst states it has ever seen.
-
Especially when they have to fabricate their personality to be more appealing to their fans..... that does take effort. But not as much effort as it takes a waitress to fabricate an upbeat personality in order to bring you food a restaurant in a way that is appealing to someone. The waitress doesn't get to edit out their "umms" or their "sighs" or their real emotions. They have to do it in real time, in person. Don't be fooled by these content creators. They are a mess just like the rest of us.
-
I never said every content creators was genuine. But if you said every one of them was fake, then you're either paranoid or delusional.
-
I didnt say fake. They are presenting the best versions of themselves. Its just reality. They arent present the reality of the game. They are presenting the best versiins of the game. Its marketing 101.
-
I guess I'll just agree to disagree. I don't see how mtashed ranting about the meta or Kruzer complaining about the game are presenting the "reality of the game" like you say they do.
-
I meant to say not reality. And Mtashed is probably the absolute worst example for your argument... he is my most disliked. But we can agree to disagree. I'm fine with that.
-
Meant to say its just NOT reality
