I'll never understand why people watch other people play games. Everyday I go to Google, type in destiny 2, hit news, and any new articles for the day or videos are right at the top. I didn't have a problem with streamers, but they're taking away the fun for others without intending to. My cousins little baby girl does not play with dolls. She goes on YouTube and watches other people play with her dolls and they add voices over it. Instead of her using her imaginiati9n to do that herself.

Lol that was a terrible analogy. People watch porn when they can't have the real thing and need to stop an urge. If you put a stripper in my lap, I'm not going to go watch porn.
-
You've been given multiple analogies, and you say every single one is bad because you're simply stubborn, so it's another for the mute list <3
-
No sex in the champaign room lol
-
Unless you pay extra lol
-
It's an excellent analogy.
-
We're comparing sex to video games. No, no it's not. If I see a sexy girl, fine as hell. I might go home and jerk it. If I see police officer and his gun, I'm not like, omg I just want to go watch real crafty shoot some people. Lol that's -blam!-ing weird. I might get in the mood to go play the game myself though.
-
You can compare and contrast anything so long as you're connecting them to each other properly, which I already have. Porn and Streamers and Sports on T.V. are all part of the same thing, entertainment. Doing an activity and watching an activity are not mutually exclusive, and they can be done together even. You just have a narrow-minded view.
-
And they all have one thing in common, except watching others play games... People. You're watching them do virtual things. Here's another example. I can show you a magazine, with a picture of a sexy naked girl, and you will get something out of it. I can show you a picture in a magazine of a wide receiver bending backwards and catching a ball, and you will be entertained. Can I show you a pic in a magazine of crosshairs on a titans head and you, say. Wow I want to see how that happened? I want to see more. No. Because it's virtual. It's virtual. That's the difference. I understand you don't see what I'm trying to say. They are not all the same. I'm sorry.
-
I think the problem is your lack of imagination. If I'm watching someone else playing a game, I'm watching someone navigate through the same game in a way I never would because we're different people. It's a different perspective.
-
I can go into a big long thing about what has happened to gaming and gamers due to the fame of streamers. But all I'll say is this, these people are so easy, me and my friends are thinking about starting a twitch channell for d2 with dome kind of gimmick just so stupid people follow us and we get paid. The target audience for streamers are stupid people. They are essentially, a business.
-
Make a forum post when you do, and pm us all, I wanna see this train wreck.
-
You'll fail if your only goal is to make money. As you can see from what people have said here you need to entertain. Its not just about playing a game. Goth for example, has live talk shows, live music, beat boxing all representative of what a performer is.
-
Ya I've seen the entertainment provided by some of these streamers. Our plan is to just have our friend be high every time. He's extremely entertaining. And so are we. We just never thought people would enjoy just listening to friends goofing around. We always thought that's what you did with your own friends.
-
Do what you want. I don't personally watch streamers outside of the occassional youtube video if I'm interested, but I don't knock the business nor the customers. They're nothing as bad as the food industry imo. I tend to watch things like Dark Souls boss vs boss since I don't have a PC capable of using that kind of mod.
-
Thank you I thought it was pretty solid.
-
It's really not tho what's the difference between you sitting on your couch watching football and me sitting on my computer watching twitch?
-
What's the difference between me sitting on my couch and watching the history channel versus you sitting on the couch and watching desperate housewives and real world. There is a difference.
-
Ok then why couldn't you explain the difference instead of literally playing I know you are but what am I?
-
Because I don't know how literal you want me to get with it. And the technical difference between the two would probably be a very long dragged out explanation if you don't understand already. Which is why I tried giving another analogy which wouldn't take much time. In essence, it's watching virtual vs watching real. But it's deeper than that. Like why would you ever go to Paris when you can now just look around the Eiffel tower in a vr headset. There's a difference. And it's intangible.
-
Yeah keep dodging the question, dolt.
-
Why is it better to form real life relationships than ones online with people you never see. There is an answer. But it's too long for me to care enough to type out. It's the same for this. I'm not going through all that shit online when it's hard for you to see my tone in text and have a discussion about things you don't understand. I gave the basic foreground of reality vs virtual. I provided other examples which share the intangible nature of this argument for me. I gave you my opinion. I won't spend the rest of my day trying to prove anything to you. I'm going to work out now.

-
Lol you're just not reading what I'm writing. And I'm 27. People don't call me kid, you're the one who seems young. Can't understand the difference between real life relationships and virtual ones. Next you're going to tell me long distance relationships are equally successful as close distance. And the area you're looking for is called the grey area. You need to find it. Not everything is black or white.
-
Lol is in your vocabulary so yeah, you're kind of a child
-
Jesus. You big man. Big big mature man. We are all still children.
