Today's Youtubers in a nutshell...
Hey, Its yo boi [INSERT YOUTUBER] here with some really awesome exciting news! But before we get into that, if you like this video please hit that like and drop me a subscribe, it really means a lot guys!

I noticed the Destiny community is filled with a bunch of whiners and the streamers are kind of the leaders in this. They didn't really need to change much. Tone down the grenade times so we gun fight a little more and diversify the maps. If this 4 v 4 shit is anything like dropping into a 4 v4 game in the current Destiny, those low player games aren't that fun.

7 RepliesIt isn't only streamers either. Achievement videos and even just helpful tip videos do this too. I went looking for new ghost shells a few months ago and that whole prologue from OP is nearly verbatim what these guys would say too. You could be forgiven for thinking that youtubers are all reading from the same script these days. Fortunately, I found a video that showed only the ghost location (map or planet), how to find your way to the ghost, and did each one concisely. The video also had no voiceover at all! Imagine that, just the straight and to the point. That kind of video is FAR more likely to get a Like that one with 90 seconds of drivel to start. Or even worse, a video with loud, obnoxious music the whole time.

If you're going to do the whole "Be sure to like and subscribe!" bit, save it for the end of the video. Telling me to like and subscribe before I've watched the video is like a waiter coming up to the table and telling me to give the restaurant a five-star review before I've even tried the food. If you make good content, I will support you.

Not a dedicated Destiny Youtuber, but he breaks down the released news and vids along with other games. I started to follow him for his great Monster Hunter World coverage and he happened to do Destiny also. I follow very few people, It mostly depends on how easy they are to listen to and if I find them dry or not.

8 RepliesMore YouTube and big name streamers. Seriously go to smaller streams and most the complaints you usually see for streamers is gone. Mainly cause we don't feel the need to put on a super fake hype face for every kill to be entertaining.

I do appreciate a youtuber giving credit to someone else if borrowing their footage or using an idea that the streamer himself didn't think of. That's just proper attribution. But that's different from the obligatory 90 second lead-in with shout-outs that have nothing to do with creating the video being watched.

I ignore most streamers but the two i love to see on youtube is unknownplayer and mynameisbyf theres a few others i might check but thats it
