So I see a ton of confusion out there about these codes. Most of it stemming from pre-orders on first-party stores. (PSN or xBox Live)
Bungie saw a lot of this coming and has the answers here... but you have to scroll down and click/tap which none of us really like doing anyway XD
So here it is:
If you pre-ordered on PS Store, xBox Live store, or the Blizzard Shop: You will automatically receive Beta access on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or Blizzard Shop account that you pre-ordered with when the Beta launches.
The catch: The stores don't tell you this and don't automatically download the beta for you... they just leave you hanging which is understandably confusing. So... find the beta in the store and download it so when access is granted, you're good to go. On PSN it is listed in the add-on section of the Destiny 2 game page.
If you pre-ordered at a retailer who gave you a code: Redeem the code here: Bungie.net/redeem
Please note that you'll need an active Bungie account which currently REQUIRES a PSN account or xBox Live account... sorry PC. Then, Bungie will email you (later, not instantly) when you can return to the Bungie.net site and retrieve your Destiny 2 Beta download code. EDIT: A bungie mentor said you can do this immediately. So go to the redeemed codes page on your Bungie profile to get your download code after selecting the console you want.
PC People: Bungie stresses linking your Battle.net account to your Bungie account before buying... take them seriously. Also, if you didn't purchase through Blizzard, they will have "additional account options for PC players when we get closer to the PC Beta this August" and recommend just holding onto your code until they have a channel for you.
Oh, and for those totally out of the loop: the Beta begins on 07/18/17 on PS4™ and 7/19/17 on Xbox One for pre-ordering players. Non-pre-ordering console players will have access beginning 7/21/17. The Destiny 2 Beta for PC begins in late August.
Hope this helps... PLEASE share this post with the thousands of people frantically looking for their codes. They are good to go, just don't know it yet :)
See you all starside!

EDIT: Australian folks, you need a European code NOT an American code... If you already made the mistake, Bungie says contact your retailer...

I pre ordered from Target.com. I have not received a code and have no idea how to get one. Target has been no help and there is no way to contact Bungie directly . The above post is no help in my situation. Very frustrating!

So... has anyone else NOT gotten their code emailed to them yet? I pre order the day it was announced at game stop, verified that I input the code, and haven't received my email today. I know it's only been a few hours and the beta isn't until next week, but I'm kinda freaking out lol.

I appreciate the post to help, but the link isn'[t giving the answers needed when you followed the directions exactly as they were laid out and you get the same "code is not valid or in use" msg.
