Why is there so much negativity on these forums surrounding Destiny 2? Yes, the Bungie team is making changes. So many people in this community sound like stubborn old geezers who are resistant to change, talking about "Back in my day..." It's a new game - changes are expected. Otherwise, you'd all be complaining because it's too much like Destiny 1. Personally, I'm excited for a fresh start.
I challenge you to write something you look forward to in Destiny 2.
I look forward to: seeing how the character creation will turn out. Will we have plenty more options to make our Guardian stand out from the rest? I don't like how my human character looks (and thus I wear a helmet at all times) and I desperately look forward to a fresh start.

A wealth of new content. I don't care if it is "Destiny 1.5." I thoroughly enjoyed Destiny and an entire new base game will be a lot of fun.

Subclasses; I'm a warlock main and seeing that my Dawnblade is way more active than my Sunsinger subclass makes me very happy, and my class as a whole feels more support-like with the Rift ability, i'm very happy with how they changed subclasses to be more active, Titan is this really tanky class, that focuses on mitigating damage for both himself/herself, and his/her team with the Barricade ability, and with the fact that Defender allows you to cast Ward of Dawn from one of the skill nodes, and Hunter feels like a DPS class with high amounts of mobility, lets also not forget about exotics, and when they come around, how they affect our subclasses.

Edited by SmashvilleViking: 7/9/2017 4:51:48 AMI like everything that I have seen and heard about so far. I don't play much PvP, so 4v4 doesn't bother me. Even if I started playing PvP more in D2, 4v4 still wouldn't bother me. I can't really say how the changes so far will impact PvE, as I haven't played the game yet. Most, if not all of the changes so far seem to be implemented in order to try to achieve the best balance possible. Constant complaints all through D1 have led to many of the changes in D2. People say Bungie doesn't listen, then, Bungie tries to change things to alleviate the complaints, and people complain about the changes. Noone knows how the changes will affect PvE or PvP until they actually play the game.

Can't do it, too hard

I'm looking forward to the new Patrol areas, new weapons/weapon system, strikes and raid. Yes it sounds like a lot of changes have been made but I have no doubt I'll still enjoy the hell out of it. I've been playing D1 since beta.
-
Getting so much pve content so i don't have to ever step foot in crucible again.
-
Overall, the PVE approach is sounding pretty promising. I personally think the 4v4 for PVP will be a good setup. 6v6 never felt like a good fit in Destiny.
-
Challenge accepted. . . . Shit. I've got nothin'.
-
Locked loadouts for raids with planning while in orbit, superb

I'm looking forward to getting the band (clan) back together. We're all friends and we game together regularly but we all met through and because of Destiny so I can't wait to jump back into it. I'm also looking forward to trying out all of the changes that have been made to the game. Once I've had hands on time with it all then I can reserve my final judgement on everything.

I think most people just look forward to complaining about it All joking aside I am looking most forward to the new patrol activities: Flashpoints, Adventures, Lost Sectors, and Treasures maps all sound amazing.
-
Ok, I'm looking forward to see the art work they put into making the planets/moons. To bad their isn't much else to look forward to.

I dunno? Not playing it?

I'm looking forward to the inevitable salt that will flood this forum at game launch. Just as it has with each game Bungie releases.
