I'm confused as to why Bungie would spend money and valuable employee time to build a soccer field in the social hub. Last time I checked I bought Destiny to shoot and loot, not to play soccer.
So let me guess, the soccer field was placed in the hub to compensate for all the downtime that guardians are going to face? Maybe to fight the content drought boss?
To me it seems like Bungie is already preparing for players to get bored. And the game hasn't even launched yet.
Like really Bungie? Why not put more time and money into more playable areas.. and less soccer?
Oh and beyond that, why does the hub have to be an instance.. why cant I just phase into it when I walk through the gates from the EDZ?

If you've ever tried to get a six man group together for a raid then you'd realize that it's a small thing that's a rectangle on the ground and a ball which can help pass the time while waiting on humans. The down time in destiny has always been because of waiting on humans. And I love how you think that a soccer field is more than a square on the ground a couple simple goals and the ball which has already been in D1. Like the parts of the public space that would take effort are places like where the vanguard stand which have a lot of details and moving npcs, not a soccer field which is a simple nice thing they could give based off of what players already do while waiting on humans.
