Here's a new video, describing what Bungie is looking towards in the future.
Watch and post what you think!

This is your fault for always recommending telesto for everything.

Edited by Lordsa Jar-Jar: 7/7/2017 7:54:47 AMSeriously, what's up with that signature every time you post? Are you trying to act like a journalist signing off your work, or some shit? It's pathetic, man.

Look at the mess you've made Nike! Anyhoo, I get more hyped hearing them talk about it than seeing the gameplay vids. They seem genuine and passionate and that means more to me. I could be wrong, but I'm willing to wait and see. I won't be bashing anything until I get to play it properly and I'd be lying if I didn't say I have concerns, but overall I'm looking forward.

New Game , new experiences . I'm all for it . The rest of you that are salty , keep playing Destiny 1 . GOod day !

More $$$...more newbies.

Luke Smith looks like he has not slept in 100 years. Rehash of the the same. New weapons likely armor but nothing like crafting or trading. A player based economy will do wonders. Nope Destiny will not do that. They apparently are trying to fix the game. Nothing new and i expect nothing new. Other games who have done this ended up not really as successful. Just fixing old stuff. Adding in new toys and ooh ahhs. Original Story Written By Joseph Staten.(Edited when they cut it apart. So they had to use another story sorta) Music: Marty and Mike. Dunno if much is remaining due to all the controversy. Possibility's dashed. Rest of the now disbanded Halo gang.

"Getting the story right was important to us." Really? Is that why the entire first game is just fragments of story that go absolutely nowhere? Is that why you just completely abandoned the vanilla story like it never happened and answered none of the questions it raised? I could not make it beyond that line in the video, the BS is too distracting. If Destiny 2 is anything like 1, it will be: -Train wreck of a game that eventually becomes playable, but forgettable. -Complete abandonment of the main story upon release of subsequent DLC, content of such becoming completely obsolete upon the next being released. DLC to consist of palette swapped enemies and re-hashed old quests/strikes. -All story after the vanilla story totally ignores the vibrant, interesting setting full of history that appears to have been so lovingly crafted before being utterly abandoned in favor of a "Dragon Ball Z" style "There's a great evil coming, we must get stronger so we can defeat it" rinse, repeat scenario. -Endgame consisting of constantly "re-balanced" PVP and the same handful of raids/strikes ad nauseam. Re-balancing to consist of nerfs and exactly nothing the community asked for; all PVP balancing will also affect PVE gameplay for literally no reason other than sheer laziness. -Complete devolution of the game into a blatant cash-grab via special micro-transaction laden "events" that add no substance other than the micro-transactions, the content of which may or may not be permanent. -Fanboys foaming at the mouth and getting their faces sopping wet in Bungo's nether regions anytime someone comes along and says anything remotely true about the game. -That horrible, reluctant, depressing, inevitable check-up you do on the game and its sequel from time to time in the hope that someone at Bungie pulls their head out of the place they pull game ideas from, just long enough to make a triumphant return to the aforementioned vibrant world that could have been. This is always followed up by the sad realization that this franchise will never live up to its potential and is... destined... to always be a shallow boring experience. Can't wait for Destiny 2: RNG Boogaloo.

"For some activities in Destiny 2, you will be loadout locked" OMG dwpviqjwshnvgpiewjsngrfvca wat the fuk its gunna ruin the game waaaaaaaaaah. -blam!- me, chill the -blam!- out guys! SOME ACTIVITIES; SOME! Wait for solid info on what that means before spazzing out like the little sad-acts you are.
-
Without even looking at the video, i know what's the vision of Destiny 2. Milking the heavily addicted nerds playing this shallow garbage. That's their real vision and IGN isn't needed to tell me that.

Edited by chickengoujohn93: 7/8/2017 10:39:09 AMWon't work in Raids. The checkpoint system will ignore such a feature. If it is implemented in Raids people will simply just go to Orbit and switch. As a result it is absolutely pointless to even add it to Raids as it slows down the experience. They can't compromise the Raid experience by removing checkpoints to accommodate this feature. They want to promote the Raid beyond the figures they got in the original? They won't do that by removing checkpoints. There are plenty of reasons why people may have to leave a Raid and play it at later time in the day or week. A lot can happen in the time you are not Raiding. They can't lock people out from resuming Raids if they are not using their initial loadout because they deleted or infused a weapon both intentionally or accidentally. It'll be a Strike modifier at most in PvE and an outright restriction for PvP for Trials, possibly Iron Banner and the Competitive Playlist they mentioned.

wow so much salt and sass on this post. people wihinging about a game that the beta hasn't even been released for yet. so much bitching about weapons and supers and everything else - just play the damn beta and buy it or don't. you all sound like a bunch on pre-pubescent kids moaning about anything and everything.

Edited by TotalDramaGamer: 7/6/2017 9:57:33 PMI dunno how I feel about locked loadouts as an idea... Personally, I still liked OG nightfalls where (especially solo) you had to optimize what weapons you had for different parts of that Strike. But even on a newer one like on the Super Shank strike, where you have to go to the WARSAT for a minute, I always end up needing one of my swords in order to solo that portion, but the sword is useless after that. So... I dunno how much 'harder' it'll make the game in terms of actual difficulty and not artificial user restraint. And the other thing is that if it does go into bigger events like a raid (I hope not) the overwhelming screening 'who has what' will be leagues above what we saw with the forums raving about YOU MUST HAVE GHALLY, MUST OWN ALL SHADERS, HAVE NO LESS THAN 150 HEAVY SYNTH ON YOUR PERSON, etc... Especially since what you bring is all you got. Just not a good idea in my opinion. An optional feature? Sure, for something like custom strikes/raids would be cool. But not for actual events where others are dependent on someone else's choices of weapons. I dunno... just seems like a hard idea to make work.

Bungie needs cataract surgery.

I love what bungie is doing so far. I love that they have the balls to say "yeah we didn't do stuff right the first time around with the storytelling let's fix it" and the fact that they acknowledge that Destiny in its whole is a social game, made to make friends and memories is great. Keep this up bungie, I'm hyped
-
I hope locked loudouts aren't on Raids.
-
On the loadout lock did it say locked or wouldn't have a chance to be able to change load out? Depending guess apps will help with switching loadouts if there not locked.

I'm here

So yesterday I find out that all of the guns in Destiny Two are going to be exactly the same. For me this completely ruins the game. The best part about Destiny for me was working hard to find a gun that might be a little better than the next. You might call it the "grind" but that is the only reason to continue playing...to find a Hopscotch Pilgrim with a rare roll and take it to the crucible and test it out. Everything else is just socialistic, we might as well just quit. Why would we continue...the story? It's also about putting in the hard work and learning why this gun is better than that one. We all know that variety is the spice of life and for Capitalists like myself I want my hard work and exceptionalism to matter because it reflects the true struggle of real life.

"Bungie's Vision" haha Insee what you did there, Nike ;)
Bungievision
Edited by mayo68: 7/7/2017 12:02:12 PM🤔 A lot of attention paid to the "lore" of the game. I'm here to blow sh^t up, so idk there. To me the whole "starting over" in D2 is a death blow to the original concept of the 10 year game. Dude says "we want to reward gameplay". Well many players have 100s of hours on this thing only to find us at the same spot 3 years later. #fail Having said all that, am I signed up for the beta...of course 😉 To me it's a simple case of woulda, coulda, shoulda from here on out. And no, I'm not impressed with the flickin chicken.

Sounded like an advertisement for people who are bad at games & have no friends. Are you LONELY? Do you SUCK? Buy Destiny 2! Works for me. <3
-
Didn't Luke Smith say, "SOME of those activities will be load out locked"? To me it sounds like it could be a modifier for a Nightfall or strike. Or it could actually mean every single aspect of the game is load out locked like some of you are anticipating. Either way, I'll be waiting for some actual factual information before I drown in speculation. But, I do feel a little let down thus far. Here's to hoping they're saving all the good stuff for the release. "Stay" Classy Guardians
-
Figures Bungie uses IGNorant for this stuff.
-
Locked loadouts? LMAO now they really wanna stick it to PVE players. "So you think you are going to swap between RL and Sniper during the same activity? Yeah -BLAM!- you." But you won't miss those extra power weapons, I'm sure of it.... Because they'll be garbage anyways. They have to be. They had to be balanced for PVP...

The more videos I see, the more excited it get!
