Not as good as witcher 3

Enjoy the GOTY 2017 👍
-
No tips needed, it's a Sony game, it will hold your hand every step of the way :)
peace is a lie, there is only passion Through passion I gain strength Through strength I gain power Through power I gain victory Through victory my chains are broken
Nothing really, just from an Xbox user to you, enjoy the game man. Genuinely.

Persona 5 is better

Edited by Show me potato salad: 6/26/2017 9:17:12 PMThe voice acting for side quests are just so cringey, they make mass effect Andromeda facial animations look like a naughty dog game. I'd say just do your best to get through the story, and trade it in. The game has some solid gameplay with a decent amount of depth, and the story was quite good, but other than that, it's a game you can beat once and trade in afterwards for a solid return investment. I bought it on sale for $39.99, and then traded it in for $35.

My only tip is taking in all the information you get during the game (other than the story, that is optional). Your mind is a better weapon than any bow and arrow. Remember weak points of your enemies, scan all the new things you find, remember the different herbs and always, always remember what you yourself are weak to. Unlike mist games, your character isn't an OP robotic war machine that barely flinches after a hit. You can die easily, and so can your enemies. Remembering weaknesses and strengths and using them to your advantage will help a lot, more than you think.

1. Have fun. 2. Watch a couple of YT videos on how to get the Shield Weaver (?) armor. Its by far the best armor in the game. 3. Figure out which weapons you fight best with, and master them. 4. PREPARE for fights Make sure you have enough healing ability and enough crafting materials before starting a fight. Also decide on your strategy. Me, for example, I tend to do better when I command an elevated position and can fire DOWN at my target while making it hard to reach me fighting uphill. What works best for you may be different, but don't blunder into fights. You'll wind up dead pretty quickly if you do.

Most of the traders have a free loot chest the 1st time you meet them they normally contain resources etc great ehen you are starting out
-
Always save at bonfires. You don't want to have to walk a long time to get back to where you died.
-
Kill everything. You'll need animal materials for upgrades. Grab the stealth and one hit kill skills first. Elements are actually pretty effective.
-
Get the platinum done on your first playthrough. It's a brilliant game but you won't be up for a replay for some time.
-
Just play it, don't listen to tips. There is no tips, it is a game. If you need tips Google it.

Edited by moist nana: 6/26/2017 5:42:54 AMWait till you get to the 2nd area before seriously investing in gears. (They have better stuff) Sneak and overide is a great way to get a buddy to do the fighting for you. USE your arsenal and always aim for the weakspots, you can find out everything about the different enemys in the notebook?? Oo and shoot all the little animals, there the resources you need for potions/inventory upgrades.
-
Approach the machines tactically early on until you get better equipment, for the humans scout the enemies to ensure that you don't get mowed down by one with a heavy weapon.
-
If you find yourself having a hard time, the Ropecaster makes short work of any foe. Get a War Bow if you like open combat, a precision bow if you're more into stealth, but both as soon as possible. Hardpoint Arrows are the best arrows.
-
Go easy on the fast travel at first, fast travel packs are limited until you buy an unlimited one. Don't get cocky, even the weakest machine can 2 shot you, especially early on. Spend time upgrading your salvage capacity. Don't buy any weapons till after you enter the bad guys territory, you can buy the best of each weapon from almost every vendor and it really doesn't take too long. Take your time to learn different strategies for each large machine, and always review them when you unlock a new weapon/ammo type. Shadow precision bow is god.

Roll, shoot, roll, shoot, roll, shoot..... The end.
-
The only way to get weapons and armour is to buy them. If you're anything like me when it comes to open world exploration games and you normally just save all your money for the odd bit of ammo or customisation. Scrap that instantly. As long as you've harvested the right materials from the mechanimals (no idea what they're actually called but that's what I call them anyways...) then you're good to go. Just buy the weapons and armour from any vendors you find.
there are a few weapons and a couple pieces of armour you don't need to buy but I won't spoil how you get them...
Other than that, spend your first several points in stealth and the perk in foraging that lets you hold twice as many healing herbs. Trust me. Dodge any and all attacks you can but when you do get hit, you'll definitely need as many health refills as you can get.

Tearblast Arrows are your friend :-)
-
Take it slow, and enjoy the game! It's very casual.
-
Get the slow time skills and the one that lets you load up 3 arrows at a time. Also, explosive tripwire. You can lay them all over and wreck entire packs of anything.
-
Yeah, make sure you use protection. Don't pass on the HZD
-
Should be a summer sale starting soon if you want to save some cash but have fun good game
-
Ropecaster is your best friend. As a heads up,it and elements work the same way; fire till the gauge above the enemy fills up. Match elemental arrows to the canisters on the machines to gain quick advantages in combat. Save purple tier mods for late game weapons till you get the tinker skill. Take note that different types of bows and slings use different types of ammo, use that to change how you play. There are no terrible weapons (I personally don't like the Rattler or Tripcaster, but they are still good)

As an adult, you should go back to the caves you visited as a child......
