I haven't watched it, and I don't plan to because of these comments. As a video editor, I know that it's typically best to have your job unnoticed. The best editing is nice and fluid, invisible unless you're paying attention to it. But bad editing, even excess like this apparently, get noticed. And not positively. If you put an epilepsy warning on a Destiny montage, you're overdoing it.
