Hello everyone! I'm back at it again with another raid boss! I wanted to do things a little bit differently this time (less mechanics and more mayhem) so let me know if you like it! :)
RAID BOSS: Zarbiks, The Ether Runner (Servitor Prime, House of Kings)
Grimoire: The Runner's sole purpose is not to distribute amongst the rest of the Fallen, but instead, to sacrifice itself and it's ether to its King, Drakell, in order to reign vengeance on the Great Machine. Find this runner and put an end to its purpose. Remember, it's never still in one place, you have been warned.
Details: Imagine a the Kaliks Reborn servitor but instead, it's bigger, and the case of the servitor is not black, but gold as well.
Location: Venus, Mars, Mercury, and Earth (whoa what kind of boss is this? Lol)
Weapons (Zarbiks):
Tri-shot - it shoots 3 blast simultaneously.
Tracker - it shoots one blast at a time but I tracks a guardian. It is very slow.
Bouncer shot - shoots 2 blast at a time and the blast bounces off the walls.
Beam shot - it charges a massive amount of ether to shoot a consistent beam that can kill anyone if they happen to be in its line of fire.
"Overdrive" - Zarbiks increases his speed movement.
"Termination" - fall behind too far away from Zarbiks, you die.
"Power of ether" - if you see this, you might as well wipe (ya messed up lol)
"Zarbiks' retreat" - it's teleporting so be ready to follow.
"Power of vengeance" - if Zarbiks reaches Drakell before you kill it, it will sacrifice all of its ether and Drakell will wipe you from existence.
Mechanics: You start this battle on the race track of Earth. It's the SRL map on Earth but it obviously won't look like there's a race happening.
There will be 6 heavy pikes (one for each person). Once everybody gets on a pike, you will need to find Zarbiks within the map. Remember, it never stops moving.
Once someone finds Zarbiks, rendezvous with that person and be ready to follow Zarbiks. It's fast too.
Zarbiks will be moving around the race map. What the guardians have to be worried about are its attacks throughout the time you're following it.
Note: while following Zarbiks, you constantly need to be shooting it in order to damage it. These pikes let you shoot and boost at the same time so no worries.
Once "Overdrive" happens, a speed boost will appear big enough for everyone so they become a bit faster.
When a fourth of its health is gone, it will "Teleport." When it teleports, it goes to a different planet altogether.
Once Zarbiks teleports, the gate will appear and you will be transported to wherever Zarbiks teleported. It will then switch its attack to a different one.
Rinse and repeat.
Once it's at half health, Zarbiks will retreat to another planet (no matter what, the last planet will be Mercury).
Zarbiks will gain another attack which is an anti boost. It will slow you down so don't get hit by that.
Zarbiks will then set up a moving barrier behind the Guardians so that will continously follow them. If the Guardians slow down, it blows them up and they die.
There will then be servitors that are bright yellow appearing to give ether to Zarbiks. If they give their ether to Zarbiks, it then uses "Power of ether" and wipes the team.
Rinse and repeat.
Once Zarbiks is at its last quarter of health, it will then do its final teleportation to Mercury.
Same mechanics, however; if it reaches the end of the map (Drakell), you will have to wipe.
HARD MODE: Zarbiks gains another ability called "Unstability"
"Unstability" - Zarbiks shoots teleporters at the guardians. This attack drains Zarbiks of his "Termination" so there will be no barrier in the back of the guardians. If a guardian gets caught in one, they end up on the other side of the map and will have to fight there way back to the group, they will have 2 minutes to return before Zarbiks gets its energy back. Failure to make it back to the fire team in the given time initiates "Termination"
Zarbiks teleports after every 1/8th of its health is gone. Note: Zarbiks will continue to switch through planets: Venus, Mars, and Earth; Mercury will always be the last one.
ENRAGED MODE: Once Zarbiks reaches Drakell.
Welp, that's all for now! Let me know if you guys enjoyed it! Give me any type of feed back too please! Thanks for reading! :)

Brilliant! Would be hilarious if the fallen tbag u if u die by being slow. You would be loved and hated for the concept. If you were Bungie, Destiny would be even more fun. Overall I grade A- (The minus is for how OP the boss would be)
-
Too long. And not in the good way.
-
Fan made isn't lore dear, especially since a lot of these features don't work in the lore. Ether doesn't grant power it's food, and fallen don't have the technology to teleport between planets. While the concept is cute, that's it really. Please remove it from the lore section but keep up the admirable effort
-
Not lore
-
I really like that. I think it would be cool to use your own sparrow instead of pikes, but obviously that would mean no shooting, so idk. Also, I think the enrage would have to be changed a bit. As it is, there's only an engrave on the final phase, you can take as long as you want on the other planets. Overall that's a really great idea though.
-
That's pretty sick. I don't really do raids, but I've always wanted to and I would definitely want to try this as well. Although maybe add a part at the end of each map where you have to get off the pike and fight on foot. Even so, sounds awesome!

Edited by TwinV10: 6/25/2017 10:23:44 AMYou should rename ot to Zarbiks the maize runner Then we know its truly evil
-
No joke I just want to run this with new players who have never played destiny before just so I can get to the boss and they're all falling off cliffs or getting blown up by that wall. This concept is dope af.
-
Lukessan Smithos: Vex overlord. Destroys all weapons and armor. Eats lard.
-
Awesome concept and idea but maybe move to community tab not lore
-
This is 100% not lore
-
This sounds way fun Good job
-
Hot Wheelz

Old raid Idea, srl style section instead of jumping puzzle You have to out run the enemy death machine on your sparrows on a srl like track. Gates make you go faster and all that jazz. There are multiple forking paths you can take all with jumps and obstacles, with varying difficulties. If you make it to the end you succeed in this section. If you fall behind and the death machine gets you, you are captured. Upon reaching the end of the race, the remaining guardians board the death machine and face the boss. During the boss fight you can free the capture teammates. Though the more people that get captured, the harder this fight will be.

Zarbiks needs a nerf! He's way too over powered! We need some sort of immunity mechanic or something please fix boss shadowvision
-
You could have Drakell explode, like Mr Creosote. I wouldn't have the desire to even try this raid out. Half the time I CBA to even get on the sparrow, I prefer to run.
-
What is the point of this garbage? Nothing to do in Destiny? Lol.
-
I'd rather have a PuppyMonkeyBaby boss
-
#Lore?

-
But what about the 3 headed vex dragon?
-
This vehicle raid boss idea is cool as hell.
-
Like cause of your name
-
Interesting, but imo racing and vehicles isnt destiny strong point.
-
How to tell if you are good at SRL in one easy step
-
I can see ton of people having trouble with this boss. Sounds fun though i like it.
