So I was looking at a few Crucible videos on Youtube and read some topics here on the forum, which got me thinking about how my skills in the Crucible have improved since Year 1. I fired up the destinytracker and typed in my name to see how things have gone for me and I am pretty pleased with what I saw. I now stand at a 1.22 K/D with my highest ELO being a 1334.19 in Supremacy Rumble.
Now I know none of that is exactly spectacular. I do not have the skills to really no scope other players. I very rarely see a game where I manage to get a massive kill streak going on. But believe me, this is a lot better than in Year 1!
I did not quite understand the fundamentals of the Crucible very well. I would go into a match with my Fatebringer and expect to destroy everyone! Yeah...that never happened unsurprisingly. With what I know now, I completely understand why I did not wreck anyone's face with it. It turns that just because something was good in PVE, does not mean it is good in PVP. I know right! That is so shocking!
So yeah Year 1 was pretty rough on me when it came to the Crucible. In fact, I do not think I actually played Trials of Osiris in Year 1 because of that. But when Year 2 came around, I changed it up a little bit.
I started actually practicing with new weapons and I made sure to know what the current meta was, so I could keep up with everyone else. And it eventually started working. I can now confidently go into a match knowing that I can at least walk away with a positive K/D (if I am not up against a red bar team), but really? Who can?
So if this is going to be my final K/D for Destiny 1. I am exceptionally happy about that. It was a long road, but it was worth it!

For me it was being selective about what PvP I played. Figured out which game types I excelled at and have had a positive experience most of the time.
