I could be wrong but I heard a lot of folks weren't happy with the micro transaction system currently in place. I loved the first one. You pretty much bought it and played it and everything unlocked like it should at a normal pace. Supposedly there is a steep enough grind in the second to push you towards paying. I just never tried it for those reasons. I believe it was free to play but you didn't have access to much of the content without paying. I wouldn't mind confirmation or dismissal of this info just in case I'm missing out on a gem on Xbox.
