Just wondering. I mean, it was my favorite Exotic from year one and I waited so long. While the old exotics getting brought back was nice, I was still disappointed every time it happened and it wasn't the Infinity. Now we're at the very end, Bungie have even outright said that aside from bug-fixes, they're not changing the sandbox at all from this point forward. That tells me that if it isn't back now, it's never coming back.
It saddens me a little, knowing that I can't compete with my favorite weapon in a PvE environment anymore. I can't use it in Trials or IB, and it sucks. All I want to know is why.

Also wanted to know something else. You know those guys who spout nonsense like "If even a SINGLE weapon from D1 appears in D2, I'm gunna -blam!-ING LOSE IT!"? These people suffer a seizure of some kind every time something reappears in D1, they absolutely insist that every weapon, every armor piece, every enemy, and every location they see are completely original, and they make sure to let everybody know about it. Even going so far as to spew death threats when they don't get their way.
Do you think they'd still lose it if said returning weapon was the Pocket Infinity? You know, a gun was never brought forward from year one.
If it's never coming back in D1 then I'd like to see it return in D2; I do NOT want to see its chances ruined by these dream-crushing assholes.

It's a FULL AUTO high impact fusion rifle. If you've ever used it in PVP (even now) you know exactly why it didn't come back.
-
It's perk was so op. They tried to balance it but it never worked. That's why it's not coming back. Also the perk tended to not activate at times.
-
Way too buggy. They couldn't fix it. (Watch them bring it back to D1 when D2 comes out{you can try to use it if you want})
-
It was broken beyond prepare.
-
Cause that weapon was B R O K E N
-
Probably because of how buggy it was.
-
I honestly don't know. I don't remember being killed by it very much in Year 1... it was more Thorns (which eventually returned), Last Words (which stayed, but got nerfed, then partly unnerfed), and Red Deaths (which got 2.5x the nerf it needed and was crap for over a year). Pocket Infinity was potent, but its recoil was so high I couldn't keep it on target.
-
Cause Bungie hates fun👎🏻
-
It never came back due to its awesomeness in Y1. It made all the little FRs jealous 😈
-
It is kind of OP. I was getting decimated by my friends in a private match, I threw Pocket Infinity and it was a complete 360... I love it and they should bring it back lol
-
The best reason I can think of is that it was prone to so many bugs.
-
Because the players wanted it, but Bungie did not. It's all about what Bungie wants.

Edited by RallyRifle: 6/22/2017 7:33:17 AMJust use the year 1 version if you have it, every secondary fusion is a one hit kill if aimed right, either way i still use my year 1 pocket infinity in crucible and its not buggy at all, thats a load of bs, and if anyone thinks its too OP then too effin bad, imma use it anyway, bungie already nerfed everything else into the ground at least once anyway....
-
They claimed it was too buggy and OP. I didn't really see a bug and it was not OP anymore
-
Look how many people cry "Gnee too op " -blam!- all
-
It was op, like "for real" op. Just too good. And to top that off it was buggy.
-
A fusion rifle that can down multiple targets with one charge, res kill a guardian, and melt every super that it has a chance to voop at? Yeah its gonna stay right where its at.
-
Bungie consider it too OP, and I'm inclined to agree
