So I was thinking about buying HZD. Is it worth its money? Is it too complicated (a lot of things to remember) and is story and gameplay good?

Does a bear crap in the woods?

Edited by Derp Herpula: 6/24/2017 9:00:05 PMIt's the same as every open world console game. Get far cry 3 or far cry 4. They're essentially the same game, but far cry does everything much better than Horizon Zero Dawn EDIT: This guy's review is pretty much my exact view of Horizon Zero Dawn

It was ok, but I always get bored and drop it like a third of the way through
-
Story was compelling. Gameplay was garbage.
-
I haven't played it myself but I have heard very good things about it from a lot of people, even my boss at work says it's really good

The combat can be hit and miss, particularly early in the game before you unlock everything. The melee combat is just bad imo, but you never really need to use it anyway. The story is pretty interesting, if you like sci fi. It has some plot holes, but it's a video game so it's not hard to look past. The open world is very Far Cry. If you've played that this shouldn't be much of a surprise. Overall it's a good-great game. I do find myself having to be reminded of that, and not start hating it because of the dumb shit I see the ponies saying. They have a tendency to make me despise all things Sony despite the fact that I bought a PS4 and a Pro.

It depends on what you like.
not that there aren't enough 3rd person action games on PS4 already
-
Best (single player) game I've played in a while. Its difficult and you'll die a lot, but that adds to the fun in this case.

Edited by gamz: 6/23/2017 3:10:52 AMNo, minecraft 4k is leagues better.
I jest, it's a great game.
Edited by kanudoit: 6/23/2017 1:57:50 AMIt's a great game with an easy platinum.
-
The game doesn't interest me one bit.
-
Yes, it is amaze-balls.
is that from something?
I rented the game, played it a lot. Its ok I guess. Great graphics, ok story, and the combat annoyed me a lil bit.
-
I bought it the other Saturday along side Battlefield 1 and I must admit it is brilliant. Graphically great, gameplay is solid & the storyline so far I'm finding quite interesting. I managed to pick up a brand new copy PS4 Pro-Enhanced for £30 which saved me £5 on a pre-owned copy. It's that good that Xbone want someone to make a game similar to HZD for an Xbox exclusive..
-
Yes.... speaking of which i really need to finish that game. Lol
-
I liked it but they went over and beyond with the ignorance of the indigenous tribes of the monsters and surrounding which overall makes it better....... i think gameplay wise you'll become a pro with the bow and arrow no matter what the situation is.
-
Heard it was really good. And I'm Xbox.
-
It's -blam!-ing fantastic, you won't be disappointed

Edited by Mr Pillow: 6/22/2017 1:19:09 PMI loved it! One of thee best games I've ever played. Really looking forward to the dlc. One of the few games that feel like the developer actually finished the game before releasing it. I highly recommend.
-
Story is great, combat is meh.
-
Great game, good story, awesome open world and it is -blam!-ing gorgeous. Besides that, if you can handle the highest difficulty I'd recommend it for the extra fun and sense of immersion (it's not too horrible, but very faithful to the fact that if a robotic T-Rex smacks you your bones are -blam!-ing dust).
-
Love it. Only lvl 22 and enjoying every moment of it.
-
I just finished it yesterday pretty good
